Rewarding Duels With Treasure

So I was hosting in the Burg, and having a pretty good time.

Eventually someone came into the world and wouldn't come into the duel area to face me. Instead he sent me a message asking for trades. I didn't really need anything, so I posed a challenge to him.

"Get me down to tearstone health, and I'll give you some treasure."

I gave him multiple tries and eventually I felt bad enough that I dropped some treasure for the effort.

From then on, whenever someone invades me and asks to trade or for a weapon I tell them to either duel me with some rules, or fight another invader that I am hosting to prove themselves for the item. And I also make sure when hosting phantoms fighting each other to drop all sorts of goodies.

Especially gold coins.

Lol, I like original ideas, but the best one I've seen yet was I was invaded in anor londo by a naked player with pharis hat on so I didn't attack cas I guessed he was friendly, he then placed 5 items on ground and send me a message and said pick one and see how lucky you are, well I picked one and got 10 divine blessings then the guy picked up his other 4 items and took the duelling position and we battled. I wonder what the other items where now, maybe was a trident in there

I'd like to do that in the burg but I know some tryhard would just come along and chain bs me while I was trying to message them...

I drop treasure too but for different reasons. I borrowed this trick from A German Spy I dropped a humanity at the end of cliff and waited for my target to go after it then I shot him off the ledge with a DragonSlayer Greatbow. It was pretty funny but with the humanity he gained nothing was lost.

Thats just mean and evil. At the same time i cannot not laugh at it

Meh I constantly drop treasure when I invade someone. It just sorta became a habit of mine. I'll go farm like 30 chunks or some other stuff and drop 1-3 before every match. Sometimes i'll drop dragon scales or other stuff it just depends.

I've been farming for eyes in the Depths and have maxed out the amount of humanity I can carry. So every time I kill a rat and it leaves a humanity I try and pick it up so it remains available. When I get invaded, the invader has to hunt me down, because I'm not just standing around waiting. But for his troubles, he has the opportunity to pick up any humanity he comes across during his search.
