No clue why the piano theme from hollow bastion came into my mind lol, but awesome job, it sounds great!

Sound pretty accurate. You should try playing other tunes from dark souls like the boss fights or different area tunes.

I saw your youtube comment about the transcription. Do you think you could post it here as well when you're able to? I'd love to do another 8-bit Dark Souls arrangement, but my ear isn't the best and I rely on sheet music. AFAIK Gwyn's theme is the only other thing transcribed so far.

How do know you that? :shock: Are you a musician as well?

During the long notes or silences, music has to keep "moving" so the line or flow is not broken. Took me many years to achieve that, glad someone notices!

"Musician" might be too strong of a word but I dabble which you might have noticed judging by another post of yours. Sadly my ear outperforms my hands by a wide margin so I can come up with obscure compliments but couldn't play that without a few years hard work likely

There are some details I was not able to transcribe (free but not user-friendly software), and you need to know them in order to do the 8-bit piece:

- Some quarter notes from bars 17 to 32 last longer than written, listen carefully to the original track.
- The chords of the 1st and 3rd section have crescendos and diminuendos within themselves, this is impossible to do on a piano, but can be done with the 8-bit emulator.
- There are small ritenutos at the end of every chord of the 1st and 3rd section. Don`t know if your software can emulate that, but hey, try!

Just listen the original track really hard for those details, and maybe even more that I might have overlooked.

You did a really good job with this song. It seems similar to the moonlight butterfly/gwyndolin theme in terms of playstyle, and that's also a very fun piece to play.

I'll be using the NES, so I'll likely have to take a lot of liberties (and probably use a lot of 'arpeggio effects') to condense everything down to 3 melodic voices, one of which doesn't even have volume control.
