I honestly dont see how that is even possible. If you see a summon sign in the burg, click on it, than the person should appear right at the sign. I dont get how they appear in an entire different area. I guess if you experienced it than it can happen though, although it still seems highly unlikely.

?? even if you leave your sign and move, when someone summons you, you appear right where you left your sign

I was in Darkroot garden without the door the forest open and an invader appeared on the opposite side of the door to me...... it happens

this is just weird
the forest and the garden at least have connections, like when some forest hunters jump to the hydra, all the area is accessible

vading and summoning work differently if you summon the phantom will appear were hes sign was and vadors appear on designated spots on the map...
