Bottomless Box Glitch on Xbox 360 Empty Bottomless Box Glitch on Xbox 360

Okay, I'm not a cheater, I'm not the type of person to want to make this game (or any game) easier. I love the challenges this game has to offer and believe that is the main thing that makes this game great.
That being said, I recently had to delete a character to make my new dex build I'm working on. I go through the first areas like normal, Undead Burg being first as usual. I go to the merchant to buy all his stuff before I kill him for the katana. I get back to the bonfire to level up after I killed the Taurus Demon, and when I went to put some un-needed gear in my bottomless box, I found the stuff from the previous game that I had put in my bottomless box.... I was under the impression that this glitch only worked on ps3.... I was surprised as hell! Now all this time I thought I was safe from the BB cheaters out there just to find out I'm not!
WTF From! Fix this *****....I wasn't even trying to do it, and it happened to me....
Anyway, needless to say, I deleted the stuff in my BB and continued on my way to become the Chosen Undead for the 11th time, glitch-free!
Just wanted to share my experience with this stupid glitch, thank you for reading. Hurrah

FROM better fix this because I'm tired to get my *** kicked by people with Dark set and hornet's ring invading in burg/parish/forest. This is ridiculous, it is not supossed to exist.

The best part, it would be fairly easy to minimize it by taking away the undead merchents box until they actually can fix the coding, and while they are at it, fix or at least start banning the stupid hackers on xbox.

Sigh. Darkwraiths and Darkmoon Covenants are able to invade anyone even after defeating the boss. They can stay at a very low level in order to invade those. the BB is not required. So if you see Darkwraiths, they are able to invade you with the armor and weapons they have, because they did not level up, and instead saved their souls for other things in the game. Just a reminder, the only covenant that does not follow this, and is set as a PvP Covenant, is the Gravelords. Their is a reason why PvP with Gravelords is minor compared to the rest (excluding the Dragon Covenant).

The BB Glitch is not required for such things. They can invade with the boss alive or not. Just a reminder.

Still....a LOT of people use this glitch, and it needs fixed. Doesn't matter to me how they use it, if they use it on purpose to get items from one toon to the other, its cheating. If you have any kind of unfair advantage over another player in PvP, it ruins the experience for the newer people to the game. Have we become used to this as veteran dark soul players? Yes.... but if I was a noob again and popped the disc in and got invaded by a BB glitch abuser first time I got to the Burg, that makes a near impossible game even more impossible Imo, this problem has probably made a large number of the new people quit before it really becomes fun. Yes there are ways around it, but we shouldn't have to worry about it to begin with.... that's just the way I see it.

I do not disagree with you in that regard. I never have used the Bottomless Box Glitch. Ever. I can get what I need without the need of such trifles. Cheating in general is bad for online play, yes. I am not a fan of it, and seeing others use such cheats makes me lose respect for them, and killing them earns them a spite of wrath from any game I play.

    However...

Not all cheats are bad. the Bottomless Box Glitch is not the worst cheat in Dark Souls, less than the Warp Backstab I have seen twice before (if you have seen it before, you should know what I mean). The Bottomless Box Glitch just makes it easier for those darkwraiths and Darkmoons (mostly Darkwraiths) to invade with equipment at low levels without going threw the earned trifles. I get that. However, the cheat also has some benefits as well. For example, Roleplay (it is an RPG, with the first two letters of it meaning 'Role-Player'). If the roleplayer wanted to obtain a Notched Whip, Sword, Shield, and Thorn armor to make their character to a Notched Liking, or Wanted to have the Dusk Armor and the Catalys, or other such manors for such character Fitting without trying to go threw the long steps to reaching all that is required for the player, it would seem more of a gift than a curse. You have to understand that it does have benefits in the gaming world, and sometimes making one mistake in Dark Souls, like any RPG, will neglect you from reaching such requirements. It is not as if they have obtained the Magic that comes from the games such as WoG and such so easily without trying to obtain it. Of course, as most cheaters can do, they can use the converted equipment to obtain the spell more easily.

In general, the BB Glitch is for players that do not seek a challenge, and want to play with smooth sails. If they want the game to be played that way, they can. I will kill them with more satisfaction, and their are ways that I can subdue them with ease. As for noob players, it is recognized as unfair for them, and I can clearly see that, yes. The players in general being 'shood' away. Their will always be those types of players where ever you go in Gaming, single player, mutli-player, or both. it is said to see players that do not seek a challenge, but that is how they want to play it... and others suffer from it.

Of course... the satisfaction to destroy such players has a different kind of satisfaction from the rest of the game, I can not lie. Smacking them with a hammer fills my throat with sincere laughter.

I don't think I really ever started using humanity and reviving to human until quite a ways through the game. I think it took me about 10 hours to get to Blighttown until I ever had any online interaction besides Orange Signs.

Man, I still remember how slow my first playthrough was.... took me a few days to get to the Gargoyles. Now I get there in under an hour.

Idk....I just think if you want a piece of gear or weapon, you should work for it. But I guess if your not using it to squash low lvl players, then do w/e you want. But still, since there is an online aspect to the game, it will give others unfair advantages. Exploits need fixed, imo. I just found it so easy to do, it caught me off guard. I wasn't even trying, and it happened. People can do what they want, but I think if its giving you a extremely unfair advantage for pvp, it needs corrected.
Anyways, I hope you guys can tell I'm trying to have a friendly debate about this issue. I respect everyone's opinions, and would not ever be disrespectful towards anyone. Just wanted to put that out there. Bow

I Know, Daemon. I am just showing what it gives, and what is their. Just an open mind for the thing. I will agree with you that the BB Glitch, ifit is really a glitch and not a feature set by FROM, is seemingly a weak approach towards obtaining something, than to just achieve it.

As well, as many must know: To each their own. I hope that many understand the reference that you know, First Poster.

I am very much for the bb glitch. BUT, I don't use it to grief at low levels. I use it exclusively to: PvP and building coop builds. I typically PvP at 125, so this is not an unfair advantage. I can create a new build in under an hour (assuming no magi or miracles) and test it out to see if I like it. I am saving DAYS of needless character building.

I also have a coop build specifically designed for Anor Londo and New Londo Ruins. It is SL 60 with 50 intelligence and 5 attunement slots (which means crap vitality and endurance). I had to do 2 runthroughs (up to the Archives) to get 2x HCSM and 2x CSS.

I have played this game for a while, and the PvE mode is pretty boring and easy. I am using the bb glitch to save time. I can't tell you how important that is to me.

The thing I don't like is it makes it easier for griefers to invade at low levels. I do the burg and go directly to blighttown. Once in blighttown, invasions are far far less likely. Once blighttown is done (and do Ceaseless for the armor and easy souls), you should have enough souls to level up to 30-40 or so. After that, I can't remember the last time I got invaded by a bb glitching griefer, and I always play online and almost always in human form. The only time I get invaded by griefers is in the burg (and that is uncommon). I guess I don't see the big problem, since it is infrequent for me. I also play PS3, where hacks are fairly nonexistent.

It also is worth mentioning that I do the burg slightly differently. I skip the Taurus Demon. I use the Master key to go down to Havel (door just before the Taurus Demon). I BS him to death and get his ring. Then, I make my way back up through the Forest and save at Sen's bonfire. I go to the parish and unlock the shortcut. Then, I get into human form. I'm not in the burg or the parish for long. I don't do this to avoid getting invaded. I do it for speed and to keep the burg alive for PvP.

But, as mentioned above, just because you got invaded at a low level doesn't mean your invader is at a low level.

So, the bb glitch sucks for low level PvE (easier for griefers to make griefing builds) and also for lower level PvP (say 60-80). But, it is the best thing ever for higher level PvP.

Idk....just doesn't seem to be in the spirit of dark souls. Like somebody said...to each their own. Just don't grief at low levels, and I don't see it being a huge problem. But not everyone is that honest. Wish they were. Lol

Just like everything in life there are pros and cons. I use the BB to make toons quickly to participate in events like the gravelord weekend and the dragon vs sunbro weekend. This really extends the shelf life of Dark Souls IMO.

The bad thing is like many have said many use this grief. As far as FROM fixing it if they do fine I can live with out it. Just make sure they also fix the Gravelord.

Come to the darkside lol. Looked at hours played previous to bb glitch. WTF was I thinking (over 400hrs glitch free). Now I'm supposed to keep grinding. The griefers are annoying but at the end of the day the griefers can be avoided. To me it's like a movie I don't like, I don't go. If you don't like it don't do it. And if you are getting griefed at higher levels idk what to tell you.

I don't have a problem with anyone that uses the glitch (actually I DO but I'm trying to be positive here ❤ ). But it's still a glitch, and should be fixed just like any other unintended aspect of the game. The only reason players are split on their interpretation of the yay or nay aspect is because SOME people think they are benefitting from it, while SOME people think they are not. So I simply say...fix it...and then it becomes a non issue.

Is anyone still sobbing into their pillow every night because of the infinite soul glitch fix? Same will be true of this thing. People will talk about it fondly and memetically "yo that was back in the BB glitch days!" but I think we'll all be able to change our panties and move right along.
