Dual-Wielding Weapons?
So I had an event that seemed to catch me off-guard. My opponent wielded a straight sword in his Right hand, and a Zweinhander in his left. He would stun me with his Zweinhander, then combo me with a strong attack wit his sword. Well, this unfortunate event has got me thinking: What are some viable dual wielding combinations?

Spear in offhand, greatsword in the right. Poke them from far away and then if they get close smack them hard. Really any combination of good weapons which are not from the same class (i.e. have different movesets) will be good. You dont dual wield for damage, you dual wield for versatility and comboing (as you found out).

Offhanding priscilla's dagger is never a bad strategy.

Re: Dual-Wielding Weapons?
I use dual a lot. A claws for his good rol attack and directy hit him with a spear or halbert/murako
But ur toon is needed stamina if dual wielded

I like the fury sword in the off hand, it's light, can parry & has a fast L1 attack with 500 AR.
Or the claw, the parry recovery is very fast and it just looks mean.

Re: Dual-Wielding Weapons?
I've been learning to use scimitar/whip and rapier over the past few weeks in pvp. I can't say I win a whole bunch, but that's nothing new. I think I look cool dying at least.

Personally I like to go barehanded with my left so I can punch them repeatedly in the groin.

I've found the Great Axe in the offhand, and a
long spear in the right, works very well.

I love a buffed dex weapon with a prodding stick it's rather good...
Also i heard a shield in the offhand can be okay, not sure why though

No its terrible, slower than the dagger with less range.

Re: Dual-Wielding Weapons?
I recently threw together an off-hand spear build and I'm having fun with it, even though I lose a lot. Just ask Federally...I am definitely accustomed to hiding behind a shield!

Re: Dual-Wielding Weapons?
Balder side sword swings faster in the off hand if i'm not mistaken. It can't parry though.

Re: Dual-Wielding Weapons?
Any, although I don't know if its all, when I've used weapons in the off hand, they use less stamina to attack, some have slightly different attacks. The titanite Catch Pole doesn't swing like the R1 can, it just does the first down swing over and over. The Longsword and Dragon Claws cost less in the off hand. I wonder if that makes Bows and the Dragonslayer Greatbow better...?

Re: Dual-Wielding Weapons?
I've never really fought dual-wielders in pvp, only a couple of dual kat builds who didn't know how to parry and thus had no point since they didn't attack with the second kat.

Re: Dual-Wielding Weapons?
I love to use a dagger or mailbreaker in off hand. Dificult to land the parry, but definitaly rewarding. I tried to use the parrying dagger for a while, but all they did was to backstab, I know some people already does that, but with that P dagger it was everyone! No exceptions. That weapon is cursed...
