Hey guys, possible breakthrough, need some help

I'll get right to it. Started a new game with certain settings and a certain gift. You can probably guess both but there is another factor I'm not going to mention just yet. But, drops are insane. Humanity, items, everything is dropping, and I'm talking about the good stuff. First three were black knight sword, steel gauntlets and channeler's trident. Basically I have recieved nearly every drop from enemies possible up until anor londo with no grinding. Getting humanity at an absurd rate and I see summon signs everywhere. I also get summoned within a minute from the time I drop my sign.

I created new character with minor difference and still getting drops and signs, just not as frequent. So I have made several now, still getting drops but none like the first character.

Not sure if I want this completely out there yet because it could be game breaking, so if you are interested in experimenting with parameters let me know and I'll let you know exactly how to get started.

I suppose it could have been a fluke but I doubt it. I'm finished messing with it since I am an old man (39 is old to you guys, right?) lol and haven't the energy for it. But if you are interested email me grgtcktt@gmail.com

If any of you have questions I will answer them here but I'm not going to tell you exactly how to begin, only the first few I recieve an email from, and those being members I trust from what I have read on the forums. I haven't been an active member so I'm just going by gut.

This is a very concise community of dedicated dark souls players. It would be best if you just laid it all out and allowed us all collectively to test your findings.

You got it.....started new psn account, turned off my hub, began as deprived with pendant as my gift. All was going smoothly until I started changing weapons around.....began w/ club then switched to spear. Then black knight sword dropped and I used that until I cleared Anor Londo. Then I began changing gear around and I seemed to loose momentum as far as drops are concerned. Here's a list of drops up to Anor Londo, no grinding

man serpant greatsword, flamberge, black knight sword, greatsword, painting guardian sword, silver knight spear, silver knight sword, gargoyles halberd, giants halberd (3 of them), gargoyle helm, longbow, black iron greatshield, stone greatshield

That's what I still have. I gave away a few things.

btw, it worked noticeably best in human form for drops and summons....and I only created one new account...tested four characters on that new account and the first one was by far the most....whatever

Yes...? The amount of humanity effects item droprate, that is not exactly new information, or am I missing something here?

yeah i know the rules, not sure how much humanity in the counter since my hud is off, but I would guess zero the majority of the time. As soon as I die I reverse hollow if I am able to. Just finished first visit to catacombs, picked up murakumo and bkga, in human form

Your new account got blessed by the gods, no doubt. So, do them a favor and link the fire. Otherwise, they just might unleash a terrifying curse that haunt your bloodline for an eternity.

just picked up bonewheel shield in catacombs... seriously? nobody finds this interesting enough to try it out? Could it be the secret of the pendant? The man himself said it was the most useful gift, or the gift he would start with, whatever... he just didn't mention hub off. If there were no bb glitch this would be huge. I've played 3000 hrs at least since release day and I have recieved trident exactly one time before this character, painting guardian sword one time and flamberge one time as a drop...and I get them all in this one run? no grinding?....oh well

Ok, so the exact steps are?

Make a new account, then
Make a new character, then
Hub off?

Ok, so just to make some things clear for me:
With HUB you mean HUD?
With new account you mean more than just a new toon? (I'm on XBox I don't really know how it works for PSN)
Cause if that would be all the secret to arbitraryly high drop rates I would surely try it for XBox as well though I couldn't test the things with summons, it sucks that XBL costs something

new account, HUD off, deprived, pendant as gift, join way of white, stay in human for as much as possible, keep weapon changes to a minimum, no more than three, then stick with it. After my third I started noticing less drops and signs. I changed armour frequently so I don't think it matters.

For what it's worth I think it is random luck. My very first playthrough I had 2 Channeller Trident drops and 2 Flamberge drops, as well as a slab from the darkwraiths. I was almost always hollow and had very little active humanity.

My second character playthrough I was human more and carried about 10 - 20 active humanity and didn't get squat. But - I killed stuff more that first play because I died....a lot

I made a new game with a new profile with your parameters and indeed I am receiving a consistently high amount of drops.

I've had characters like this that just seemed blessed, getting multiple slabs from lizards/DWs with no effort, full balder set drop including sword from a single parish knight, full gargoyle set, black knight sword and shield from the burg knight, etc. Nothing special about them during character gen and I usually take the master key. It actually makes me prone to give apparent BB glitchers the benefit of the doubt, because I've seen how fast the good stuff can pile up if your dice are hot. I encourage folks to keep testing this but suspect good luck as the cause as well.

I noticed on my first play through that by playing throught the game with low lvl gear I got more drops . I didnt even know about the ring or humanity affecting drop rate when I first started.

So I created a new XBL account (silver only), created a new character just as you said and I don't see any change, in fact I get even fewer drops than with any other character I ever had XD I didn't get a single drop from the burg and parish soldiers.
The only drop I got was a BKS
Either you were just lucky or xbox sucks

my pyromancers usually get more drops
my first char is the best one, i got everything easily
i think its just a hella luck, but someone should try it too
