Gravelord question

I got infected this morning and i couldnt find the gravelord sign so i just logged out and checked out the wiki about gravelord servants. I found out that once they[servants] dies or quits the effects will no longer be there but its been 6 hours now and there are still red phantom stone golems in the moonpit and i am on NG+ with my mage build. Is there another way to get rid of the red phantoms and do i actually have to kill the gravelord servant who infected me or just any gravelord servants within the area? im kinda worried that i wont be able to access the moonpit area :\

I know why

The Gravelord Quit and Reloaded, or invaded VIA spirit or was summoned as a phantom. The thing only dies off after a Gravelord dies OR interference from invaders, usually Reds.

So you may stay gravelorded for a while... as you can't remove it unless you are regravelorded and that gravelord dies, or interference from online (or random timing)...

I had red stone giants before. They are crazy tough so be careful. When it happened to me all i did was kill the stone giants, after a couple tries, and they were not there anymore. So as far as i know you dont actually have to invade the gravelord servant to get rid of the infection, but dont take my word for it.

You can try to get another gravelord to infect you. If you kill that gravelord, your phantoms should be gone. What system and sl?

The same thing hapened to me, I tried everything but it didn't work and ended up staying gravelorded for about a month.

try disconnecting the net and loading the game offline.

i tried reloading and turning off the ps3 but neither worked so now im just trying to kill all the black phantoms and hopign the next time i bonfire they'd be gone lol

Bps respawn after eveyr use of Bonfire, Warp, Death, and even QUIT and RELOADING (unlike most enemies)

ummm... someone was saying something about being gravelorded and killing that gravelord.

I was just on my 3rd attempt of killing those red phantoms when i got a sign "Disasters are gone after the defeat of a gravlord servant" and then i just saw the stone golems die so i guess its all over now.. finally.. thanks for all the help guys im not quite sure what the hell just happened but its awesome i can finally get back to pvp lol

This happened to me in the kiln in NG+. There were 7 or so Red phantom Black knights in the area. I ran past them all on the way to Gwyn, to heck with fighting them on the way.
