You're not allowed to make these threads hiss hiss!

I find that each of them has values to me in different ways, I can't choose one based on all the choices.

I really like the Estoc because of its long range and cool R2. Its R2 is pretty slow though, so its not as effective, but the AR is nice, and the weight isn't so much (although not heavy, it is the heaviest).
I really like Ricard's because of its moveset, its like a chainsaw, but its low durability is annoying and it's AR isn't great, but it does have more range than the normal Rapier.
I like the Rapier, but only because its a jack of all trades in a way. Good enough range, fine AR, extra critical, usable behind a shield, low weight, although its high critical is a very strong direction, I usually prefer my weapons to be much stronger in some ways and much weaker in others, rather than well rounded.
Velka's is one of the better non-enchantable weapons, it has great range and fair AR, and a great moveset. Its completely solid for not enchant INT builds.
The Mail Opener is so freaking weak, that I have trouble liking it for anything other than its very very low weight, pretty low requirements, and looks, its definitely my least favorite.

Overall, I may say Ricard's at first, but that low durability, ugh! I hate how often it seems to be needing more souls to fix it, now its just be disliking the weapon for unfair reasons, but that's it. I think of the Estoc, but I can't get past it's moveset being not great. Velka's is unique and awesome but I think I may say Rapier, but I find all 4 real rapiers good weapons that are awesome.

i'm playing thru the game offline atm.. using a rapier and a bow on an int character.

i think i'll try velka's out and see how it feels, maybe i'll make a build for pvp with it later.

I voted Estoc, but truth be told I love them all, except the Mail Breaker. I've tried making use of the Mail breaker but its just bad, it's a dagger with a rapier moveset, basically. It has decent criticals, but gets outshined in that department by the regular rapier.

my dex/fai uses Ricard's plus SLB which is pretty nasty, and those R2 are great.

My Int and Faith/mage both use Velka's, it's just a cool weapon, really nice r2's as well.

Regualar rapier I used for a long time, and it's a weapon that I'm really comfortable with, and could really switch things up if I was having a bad run.

The Estoc is what I'm using now on my current build, but I've used it a lot in the past too.

They're great weapons if you care to take the time and master them.

If i am buffing it then it´s either the estoc or ricards, most of the time the estoc.
But if i´m not buffing it then i go chaos with a regular rapier.

    Rapier.

Ricard's does terribad damage and the R2 is practically useless against most opponents. Velka's seems decent enough but I never really tried it out for serious use. Estoc is like a rapier with less BS damage but larger hitbox and higher weight, not worth it IMO since the extra weight always causes me to fatroll. Mail breaker is... well... bad.

Rapier all the way, it's seen the guts of more gankers than almost all of my other weapons.

Fave is Velka's, but the best is the Estoc. I like the way Ricard's looks, like the Epee form DeS, but I never found much use for it.
