watchu guys think? do i need a sub weapon or is grant good enough on its own?

The build looks ok but i would suggest raising dex some more. Also you might want a secondary weapon that has faster swing speed. The grant is good if you can hit people but if you miss it leaves you wide open for the enemy to hit you.

I would also try using the hornet ring instead of the dwgr so you have stronger critical hits, but thats mainly my opinion. The rings dont bother me too much.

Since you have 5.6 left over, an open slot, and the Grant is slow, I would suggest a faster weapon back up, maybe a Divine Spear and add one DEX, since most light STR weapons suck. Or perhaps a hammer type weapon or light ax, maybe a crossbow.

grant is good on its own but its gonna be really hard to get used to for duels since as soon as they see you got a slow weapon they will weither do nothing but bs or roll bs you, its a bit on the weak side compared to the other great hammers because of the split damage but it still hits pretty hard, one handed for about 300 and two handed for about 400-450 dependikng on your opponent's res to magic. i LOVE that thing, its my second favourite weapon after the DGM. anyway here's mine http://tinyurl.com/9r6uhj5 if youre just starting with str weapons you really should have a rapier(preferably estoc because of its reach and crit) for either finising up your opponent when they have low vit since all they do is gonna either run away or do nothing but dodge until they get a bs on you. hope it helps.

Use a heavy crossbow as back up, and menu swap Grant for a Hand Axe to finish them off.
