Anti-Griefer build

Hey guys,

Being newer to the game and hating trolls/griefers, I wanted to make something to hit them back.

I wanted to have the normal gear for the Burg/Lower burg/depths, and I wanted to keep my lvl low to help assist people. If they're invaded by a a griefer, I go all out. If not, I equip basic weapons +0 to +5 and 1 on 1 them (although every invader I've seen in the Burg is fully upgraded).

Advice? Thoughts?
Initially I'm thinking Warrior, Bandit or Pyromancer, but the Pyromancer with advanced spells would give it away. Another option is the Knight. If they're not expecting it, I might have a shot. What has the best default gear fully upgraded?

Knight or thief would be good. The problem with knight is that to make it work you'd have to be slow or give up a ring slot to use Havel's ring so you could be fast enough. The thief has a bandit knife that if upgraded to +15 or fire/lightning/chaos will easily one-shot a griefer with a backstab or riposte. Otherwise, bandit would be ok because its fast and an upgraded axe is the best starting weapon available.

Yeah Thief sounds good. A good backstab on an unsuspecting griefer would be nice.

Another option is to have the dagger in the 2nd slot; armour is the important part I think, although Thief just 'fits'. Lightning +5 Dagger ftw!

You are treading the razors edge here good ser, watch out that you new power doesn't corrupt you for one false move and everything you have ver know shall fall around you and you shall become that which you hate.

But on the flip side griefing isn't very entertaining at all ( I was curious to know what players saw in it, tried it, hated it, became a gravelord and kicked thier arse back)

Thus i suggest for this build you should be a gravelord in the parish. You will draw all the red pahntoms (this being good for other questers) and griefers often target gravelord signs assuming they can waste out eyes.

They do not.

Never really understood how the gravelord works. I was one before, and I caused 'trouble' but I never got anything out of it but being invaded.

I have a low level thief that sometimes strolls around in the burg. I put down a white sign and use only unupgraded starter gear, but when a griefer invades I put on a hornet ring and gold pine resin my +15 bandit knife or simply use a +5 lightning.
I can only recommend it, it's fun to see those idiots bleed XD
Strange enough though as long as I'm in my world I'm always getting invaded by high level players who want a fair duel.
