The Old One.

This has been on my mind and the most confusing and shocking part of DeS lore I ever knew since 2010:

Talisman of Beasts:

An old wooden amulet resembling the Old One.

It can utilize both miracles and spells.

The symbol of God was nothing more than the Image of the Old One.

Dialoge from Sage Freke:
Do you have a connection to the disciples?
Do not pay attention to them if they speak poorly of me and my magic.
Prayer is for the foolish, quaint, and soon-to-be dead.
And heaven forbid the day you find out what their so-called God really is…


Mephistopheles Dialouge:
So, you've completed everything, eh?
You're what they might call a miracle worker.
Lastly, I must only kill you, and the secret of the souls shall be eternally safe…


Intro Text:
On the second day
on Earth was planted an irrevocable poison
a soul-devouring demon


King Allant Dialogue:
"Surely you have seen for yourself… the pain and suffering that
fills this world! But fight poison with poison. God is merciful, and so,
created the Old One. The Old One will feed upon our souls, and put an
end to our tragic realm of existence!"


What all of this is implanting is the old one is God, but it was created during the second day! Lore, y u contradict yourself?

I always thought the old one was like a version of satan in demon soul's and my wanderer was a chosen one of God. xD atleasts that's the story I have in my head while playing. It is safe to asume that the old one is just a powerful demon since King Allant is so close to it and says "God is merciful, so HE created the old one". I don't know, one can really make up many things in demon souls, it's story is far more complicated than Dark souls
