Invasion help

I'm currently in the Kiln, and I'm also revived looking for invasions. But, lately, I have to do something before I get invaded. I have to attempt to summon someone for the fog wall to appear and, seconds later, I get invaded. If I just stand there and do nothing and wait, I'll never get invaded. I had two people summoned because we were doing 1v1 (2 of us would stand away while the other fights, it was rather fun) and after the TWO invasions, no one ever appeared again on a 10 minute range.

Is there something I can do? It's been like this for a while. My internet is fast enough.

When you use an orb or attempt to summon someone it resets your invasion timer like the dried finger does. So when you summon someone it opens you up to an instant invasion.

I've been spamming the Dried Finger as well.

SL 122, so there should be a lot of traffic.

sometimes i think the dried finger doesn't work as well. In the Burg I can sit for 2 minutes spamming the dried finger and nothing. Use the orb and poof, instant invasion.

Also, I can't put summon signs or use orbs sometimes. They won't appear or I won't get the message for searching for a world to invade. I always have to restart the game to fix it.

Yeah, that happens when an invasion times-out. Happens a lot more in the forest than anywhere else, because of the traffic. If you're hosting on your own, it's usually easier to just use a Homeward Bone. It sorts the problem and is faster than restarting
