    Are there any rules in terms of weapon upgrades? Obviously the Darkmoon Knightess won't have anything but a +15 for buffing, but can I carry an Occult +5 Estoc for backup? My 120 is a heavily stacked Faith build, so my +15 won't cut it after the buff runs out.

    I'd make the dagger chaos or lightning. also use some of the crystal spells for more power. Since he is pretty weak.

    Well first use what your NPC uses but if you don't know then you can go down any path as long as it makes any kind of sense.

    I'm planning to buff the Estoc +15, then use the Occult when it runs out, since without any scaling stats it only does in the vicinity of 250 damage or less. I think it does make some sense given that the knightess is a faith type, but perhaps Divine would be better.

    But then I won't have anything to buff with DMB, and I feel that's kind of necessary on Gwyndolin :|

    Also, if I push my Int to the point where I can use the crystal spells, then the normal catalysts start outclassing the Darkmoon Catalyst, so I figured I'd keep it at a point where my catalyst of choice is the best option.

    The Barbed SS is pathetically weak, it's only advantage is bleed. If you go down divine/enchanted you might be able to get some damage out of it but it's not great for a roleplay and needs heavy stat investment.
