I need a manga to read..

Hi guys, as some of you may know I'm fond of staying awake into the knight for no real reason, and well my favourite past time doing this is reading manga, nice and relaxing for me.

Anyway, I'm all out of ideas on what to read. I'm not asking for any specific genre or style, just throw ideas at me, and I'll read the first chapter and see whether I like it enough to continue with it. If you don't know any manga, recommend anime (most are adaptions obviously)

lol! I used to watch card captors as a kid, sailor moon too (hooray for the shojo), the nostalgia is painful, but think I'll try something thats new to me

Though I've read vagabond, Pluto and Uzumaki, they were all really good I thought in their own way as you'd know, vagabond's probably my favourite of the three (just because Naoki urasawa is my favourite mangaka, don't wanna appear totally biased )

The best thing I've ever read is the elfstones of shanara.

I don't have too much of a 'thing' with manga, I usually like it or I don't without correlation. I suppose it's just if I enjoy the feel and I'm engaged by it well.

My favorite manga/anime is the previously mentioned Eureka 7. It get both, thats how much I like it.

It made me cry with happiness, its literally the only thing, real or not, to accomplish that.


I shy away from slice of life and horror, but those are my only real preferences in terms of genre.

I like Birdy the Mighty as well but thats 5 so I'll stop now.

You want more, but want me to list less. Wait a second, are you trying to trick me? You have read a few on the list already, and you have a rough idea of the quality; you know how hard it would be to choose among stuff like that! Besides, favourites don't translate so well among different people, it's (unsurprisingly) a personal thing; most of my tastes are arguably are considered acquired.

That is kinda funny isn't it... :| I guess I only want a few from each so I get their best, so I have a list of people's favourites rather than an even bigger lists of everything they've ever read lol

Aqiured taste is code for bad.

alcohol is my best example, followed by rockstar, followed by coffee.

Hey if I can like bad stuff, then my world is all the more full of joy. Anyways, I don't think the code of acquired taste for bad carries so well to the nauseatingly subjective world of literature.

@Serious, You want me to whittle down the list, eh? Read Jojo's Bizarre Adventure. I recommend parts 2,3,5,6,7, but don't skip part 1, and 4. It has been going on for a while now, you aren't going to finish it in a night.

Lol, noone really likes the taste of alcohol we just use it to get drunk (or at least everyone our age does that)... what's wrong with rockstar?

Roan, I wasn't intending on finishing it in a night, I take on a manga read that then go onto next when I'm done, I'd rather one with a decent length to it

Everything is wrong with rockstar. I have tried to drink a full can, I couldn't hold it down. The juice things are barely tolerable.

lol, really energy drinks aren't an qcquired taste, that's just if you like a drink to be ridiculously sugary (I can't but they are reasonably tasty sometimes, though I like relentless personally if I do drink some)

Monster>venom>amp>everything else. At least so far. Rockstar is the only one I really hate, but redbull is pretty bad.

So... Fex you got me hooked on a girl's manga, and I like it....
