    and actually where did i state that dual wielding rewards non reckless play... the whole point would be to promote reckless play (not the poke and roll it is now).

    I think he was referring to your mention that you would want a berserker to be viable. Which, is reckless incarnate.

    Weighty not refering to the weight of the weapon, but the importance of each action.

    I'm firmly against rewarding recklessness. Difference of opinion there.

    I didn't put words in your mouth. Over several posts you claim that you want to be able to attack with both weapons at the same time, ask wether or not anyone else even knows what dual weilding is, use a supposed SCA membership to try to boost the validity of your idea by implying that you know what dual weilding is and that you know dks doesn't do it correctly, basing that last claim on a supposed SCA membership which would mean your claim that dks doesn't do it correctly is based on real life experience, which is arguing realism in a fantasy environment, something you just said was incongrous or a paradox or something along those lines.

    I do slightly miss the way the katana worked in Demon's Souls. It's actually why I don't use it often anymore.

    I would like the idea of improved dual wielding. A simple stance changed to a shoulders squared stance would allow an even weapon swing on both sides. I dont think it would give an advantage to the dual-wielder. It would theoretically double stamina usage during fights. I think blocking and parrying shouold both be allowed with dual wielding as well. Blocking obviously would have reduced effectiveness just like blocking during two handed usage. It would allow for another style of play. An aggressive style of play but tactics would be made to counter it like every other play style

    We have no idea how much anything weighs in Dark Souls, everything weights magical Equip Load points, not pound and not kilograms. Just a magic number of Equip Load.

    Yeah, something tells me a giant stone torso piece of armor would weight more than 20 pounds, call me crazy.

    EL may not even be just how much it weighs, it could be related to how the weight is distributed, and how the weapon and armor impacts you, if it was real.

    i agree. i dont think it so much represents weight as much as its meant to represent every items effect on a character

    lol. Its true though, standing at an angle reduces one profile, making one a harder target.
