I've always wanted to make a thief build so here it is. My question is whether I should use the hornet ring or swap it for something else? From a dueling stand point I know the hornet ring is considered a bit "cheap," but I feel it compliments the risky nature of this build well.

I was thinking maybe the leo ring if not the hornets. How does the leo ring fare well in PvP? I've personally never used it.

For your low strength i would suggest keeping the hornet ring so you can hurt enemies more. The leo ring doesnt help too much in my opinion. I would also say that you raised your vitality a little to high unless you did that because of your low strength.

Leo ring is great with the balder sword, needs some practice though

no shield, no poise? this is a risky build. I would choose one or the other. A target shield or buckler is still risky I think.

you have 40 dex.. why are your daggers split damage?

put a parrying dagger in your left hand.
have Priscilla's dagger too so you can bleedout people from parry/backstabs as they start getting hit.
seriously, if you proc the bleed with prisc while your backstabbing them with a hornet ring.. my god. 50% life gone just from the bleed.. they're not getting up after that dude.

    http://tinyurl.com/cfclmgf
34 poise so you can at least withstand 2 hand katana r1s.. kind of necessary.
    2400 hp.
    356 defense.
and you don't have split damage weapons anymore, so you'll actually hit harder. you also have the Priscilla dagger to swap out if you want to try and proc a bleedout during a backstab, as well as a parrying dagger to make life easy with lag.

ps. i hope you're not against backstabs, cuz thats about all either of our builds are good at.

I was thinking about using Priscilla's dagger, but the range on the BSS R2 I felt would be more appropriate due to using no poise. I don't have the timing down on parrying with the parry dagger which is why I didn't use it. I'm also against using masks.

Good suggestions though, I like your build. Will a +15 dagger at 40 dex out damage an elemental one with criticals? I wasn't sure if it would so I just went with chaos.

As far as criticals are concerned, you're better off using an elemental over a +15.

Dude, i have a sl120 build with 0poise and i felt having the hornet ring was fair because i have 0poise i can get stunlocked by a dagger. EVERYONE ive fought whines and then does nothing but try to hornet ring bs me with their flipping tank build after a fight. I only bs people who have mom mask, heavy armor, and dwgr the rest i will only parry. I even got a bunch of hate when i parried this guy at the end of the fight(even w/o hornets he was done). I hate hornets too, but only when its flipping tanks that use it.

I was fighting this guy in the burg for about a week straight with one of my vanilla knight builds, and he had nothing but warrior waist cloth and a sack and used hornets with a bandits knife. I found those fights to be fun, cause he wasn't getting any cheap backstabs cause i could easily prevent any backstab that wasn't completely my fault. This is a bit of a rant, lol. I just hate how the people who use the best possible gear they can ***** about me using hornets. I have started just switching my build to easy mode(mom, dwgr, heavy armor) to fight people who complain.
