Painting Guardian Sword build

It focuses on using the PGS's (amazing) moveset to inflict high amounts of damage. The Demon's Spear is for when I need some range which, irritatingly, is what the PGS lacks.

The armor is completley optional as I chose it because I like how it looks (gotta love that hat)

I concur, +1

Everyone uses DWGR so to give me more of a chance I use it. As for 82 poise I agree but I invade in the forest against gankers so it help.

I realize I consciously put myself at a disadvantage by not using the DWGR, but I'm not going to use it just because everyone else does.

By the way, I don't think lowly of anyone who does use it. It's in the game, fair and square. I'm just, myself, too sick of seeing it to use it. Maybe you'll get to that point too eventually.

I agree with you. I much prefer to fast roll on my builds anyways which isn't hard with a RoFaP on.

the thing about replacing dwgr, or FaP for that matter is that well they're strong rings. if you want to not mid or fat roll dwgr gives you more effective burden than Havel's or FaP. Why replace dwgr when among the load bearing rings it's the best of them? At 40END dwgr gives 20 extra lbs. I have an armor set I use because it reaches 33 poise and has a low(er) weight as is makes use of knight gauntlets and hollow soldier waist (best weight to poise ratio) I can sac a ring slot for 40 extra poise (73 total) OR I can dwgr and triple Giants for 77 poise (4 more from the wolf ring) AND I have overall higher defences.

Now not every time you need a ring you need it to offer defensives stats, or poise, or burden. But you can have one do all three.It is a *Smart* choice.
