    Rules(subject to change):

    1. No Poise
    2. No backstabs
    3. No ultra greatswords, greatswords
    4. No spears(to compensate for no roll BS)
    5. No weapon buffs
    6. No WoodGrainRing
    7. No turtles
    8. Soul Level 110-120
    ps. it's highly discouraged to stack crown of dusk,BDR, and TCC. And to spam any kind of miracle,sorcery, or pyromancy

    Area: Zero poise zone(area before centipede demon) and lower undead burg.

    Why no Magic? Why restrict weapons? at Zero poise almost anything can stunlock. BKGA doesn't even have a complicated moveset med rolling it shant be an issue for most people, and if it can't BS it wouldn't be overwhelming at all.



    I understand by retricting to zero poise, and dwgr it'll overtly make fights more about poking/jousting but come on man Magic is fun!

    No magic as in no sorcery.
    We're okay with any miracles besides buffs. WoG may or may not be acceptable. The problem is people start "accidentally" spamming when they start losing. No weapon buffs include magic buffs and [(resins) this will probably be changed soon]. I suppose you have a point on the BKGA but for some players who don't parry or aren't intimately familiar with the moveset may feel frustrated. In my opinion the attack speed is quite fast for the damage it does and it has very wide arcs compared to other weapons in our list. If wanted we will adjust some rules but for now we are just seeing how this will go. I'd appreciate if some of you played some night with us.

    Burg....wont go well for you lot, high trafic youll get an awful amount of Duelers who will be stackin poise...unless your very good quick at menu swapping gear, id recomend picking a dif location

    1) Change the name to no sorcery when you can. Its obviously sending the wrong message.
    2) You are taking the weapons which will be hardest to use (since everyone will be fast rolling) and banning them, while keeping rapiers and spears which allow turtling?

    No matter what the rules, anyone can bring a spear or rapier and turtle. There never is a downside to it. Although these rules make it slightly more effective.

    And, yeah, Burg will be way too busy for an organized FC. You'll be constantly invaded and your signs will be constantly summoned by randoms.

    banned turtles
    pyromancy is allowed

    Need to know the communities opinion on a new location: either Lower Undead Burg or Depths(giant rat room).

    I honestly don't turn down any fight club types of any kind even tho my favorite is still "no holds bar FC rules" (veteren players only usualy)

    but i would be down but finger tendons are pulled sad will be another week till i can use them.

    I personally think you need look at your rules, and consequences of them; you won't need so many if you spend sometime, and think about what each ban means. I'd honestly say that you will have much more success if you bring something unique to the table, compared to other Fight Clubs. I'd suggest perhaps a SL60 one, and at that Soul Level, I think you'd only need to say no to Elemental Weapons to see a radical difference in playstyle from what would normally occur. Every point would have to be spent much more carefully, and single stat weapons (especially Strength for the x1.5 two-handing bonus) would be much more prevalent. However that is just an off-the-wall suggestion, but I still think you really need to consider the skill level of the players you are trying to attract, and what rules would be implicit and explicit.

    When you simply say: "No Hornet, No Masks, SL60 at the Lower Burg" most people wouldn't think of bringing a Tranquil Walk of Peace and Wrath of Gods toon. While you have only explicitly said 3 rules, it implies a sort of casual, for fun environment. Comparatively, being unable to list the rules in a single line seems to force someone to conform to a single build; even though almost no one would bring an Ultra-Greatsword to a No-Poise Fight Club, they feel like they are being told not bring what they want to bring, but instead what you want them to bring. You should try to make as few explicit rules as possible by considering the implicit ones.

    E.g You want to make less backstabs occur in a fight: you could ban slower weapons, make backstabs harder to do, or just outright ban them. Now, people don't like their weapons being chosen for them, so let's ignore that option. To make backstabs harder, you could make it easier to stagger an attempt, or harder to correctly space. You could go "No Poise", or "No DWGR", respectively. No Poise comes with a lot a lot of implications, too many for me to be bothered to deal with right now, and banning backstabs comes with a lot of unintended consequences. If you just want there to be less backstabs, just say no DWGR, and it will happen.

    Honestly man, im down for this but we should just have it outside the centipede boss. Its technically the fan made 0poise area. Although its not very active, players still do go there for 0poise pvp. I was there today and only had two invaders and no one summon me via rss, but both vaders were 0poise. I personally think the rules should just be 0poise,no dwgr,no hornets. Easy, simple.

    Edit: roan had some good ideas too, i agree that making to many rules can not only turn people away but force certain builds onto people. With 0poise you really have a lot less to worry about, most of the things you find cheap or annoying are easily silenced by a single hit from any weapon. Having it sl60 sounds fun, although i think having it 120 would be nice just to get more activity in that 0poise area. If we dont have it there, i would say sl60 is a good idea.

    I apologize for having all these rules in place. Frosty wanted to put in in the 0 poise zone Fruit but that requires a bit of game time to get to. I figured depths and lower burg would be easier. As for the weapons we're just worried that someone would resort to cheap tactics and just use a lightning claymore because if we were to do it at SL 60 someone could easily fill the stat reqs and stunlock until they win. We just wanted a fight club where it wasn't a circle jerk of GS and cheap tactics which we have all experienced first hand I could safely assume. However by dong so I guess we did limit it to quite a few weapons and made it more focused on certain builds. We appreciate the critique and will discuss what we should change. Feel free to continue posting; We haven't much experience with organizing things such as this and would like to make this a nice tight nit FC.

    Actually, i have a build ive been using in the high traffic areas that uses 0poise(well,iron bracelets) and trust me you fear faster weapons like daggers and katanas a lot more then greatswords. Any weapon can stagger you at 0poise. Not allowing elemental weapons would be a cool idea, i do hate the sfx they make xD. Honestly i think having it in the 0poise zone would benefit because its later in the game, areas that are open right at the start are often the ones with the most trolls. I guess it is a bit far though, you have to kill o&s to even get there. We could always have it in front of the ceaseless discharge fog, it may seem small but its plenty room for a 1vs1. On top of that invaders(if there even are any) will appear on the other side of that bridge, so we will have a massive advantage if they try to spoil our fun.

    Although i said a long list of "No this" can turn people away, if i were making the rules lol i would say:
    sl60:No Poise,No Hornets,No DWGR,No Elemental Weapons. And maybe not make it a rule, but just put it out there that if you plan on using a caster build that using dusks crown and the spell dmg boost ring is kinda lame.
