Secret Door in The Lower Burg

So guys, I think there is a secret door in the Lower Burg, heres the door:

That door is openable I feel. As someone once said on these forums, once From made a secret area only accessible by hitting a rock 200 times. So I think this might be it. Another point is that theres a message, I didn't place it. Also when you hit it a lot wood splinters come out. Anything think this could do it?

I really doubt that there would be any kind of secret path...

I love these design philosophies by From. If you change the level design, just board up the scrapped area and leave it in there.

I actually do like that, a blocked off path is more interesting looking compared to a bare wall.

My main reason to think so is that in the same level there is another door, but the door isn't detailed at all but the boards over it are. So I thought, why would one be undetailed but another fully detailed, and I came up with this. But it could be an error.

Yeah, there's a lot of those would-be secret doors in the game. Definitely looks like From changed their minds a couple times, or were restrained by deadlines, and left blocked-off unfinished paths in their level designs. I like it though--it's like they leave traces of their unfinished work here and there, rather than polish over it all.

I know thiswont happen but what if they added it in the DLC?

It's just like in blacksmith Andre's house in the Parish. At the top floor, there is a sort of pedestal and behind it there is a concave wall which appears to potentially be more than just a mere wall.

I'm always reading messages like "Need Item" and "Illusory Wall Ahead" by it so maybe it was intended to be something, but, as of yet, it's not shown me any love just like the boarded up opening in the Lower Burg.

The 3D Map viewer would show if there's something on the other side. I believe all dead ends and boarded-up doors have simply turned out to have nothing beyond them.

I remember my first playthrough when I ran into "illusionary wall ahead" messages, and spent hours trying to figure out where they were.

They weren't there.

The amount of hours in my first playthrough of this game dedicated to looking for illusionary walls I can't remember. Although I do remember that area in the Lower Undead Burg area, and there is nothing there.

Personally everytime I come across a sign that says "illusionary wall" where one has never been found it just makes me realize PVP isn't the only way to grief players in this game.

There's always "Try jumping" too.

How was that map viewer created?

Some guy made it. It uses the collision data instead of the actual world data, to save memory and space.

I find it funny how you can kill big giant dragons but can't break some boards....

But its ripped from the disk right?

You can actually see from the top of the stairs in the lower burg that the stairway on the other side of that boarded up door leads nowhere.
