So I'm sure people have noticed certain things in regards to Frampt's appetite, the amount of souls that are given for items. Some are worth a lot, like the coins. But of interest, everything relating to Seath is worth one soul. TCC, MLGS, Crystal Set, Channeler Set, Crystal Swords and Greatswords, Crystal Shields. Hell, if you upgrade any weapon to its crystal form, it becomes worth one soul. Now, I can understand not wanting people to sell back crystal weapons near their breaking point to get something out of it...But the TCC, MLGS, Crystal Set, and Channeler set shouldn't have this issue. So why is it like this?

I have my own ideas in regards to the Primordial Serpent, having some relation to the Primordial Crystal that Seath stole from the dragons. But could it be as simple as being petty? There are armor sets related with the other Lords, why is Seath such a blotch on the radar of the Primordial Serpents, or at least Frampt. His treachery to Dragon Kind keeps coming to mind, and it does help reinforce the idea of Serpents as Dragons in my opinion. Though it could just be Frampt dislikes him for some smaller reason. It's all very strange.

Framt could also not like Seath for basically betraying Gwyn after lighting the Flame

But then he wouldn't want any relating to the Four Lords, only Seath's items seem to follow the trend.

This has bothered me as well.

Things related to Gwyn is worth a lot. His crown is 10.000 alone, his sword is 10.000 and Gwyn's soul is double its usual amount.
Frampt also forks up extra souls for the moonlight, antiquated, maiden, dingy, witch and gold hemmed armor sets. For unique head pieces he wants the Sunlight Maggot, Fang Boar, Royal Helm and Symbol of Avarice. Most boss soul weapons are 1.000. All the dragon weapons are worth 5.000, except the Moonlight GS. Dark Hand is 1 soul and anything related to Smough, even his soul, is only worth 1 soul. He also pays more for 1 of the four knights rings, don't remember which (ciaran?).

Two anomalies though: Priscilla's dagger is 5.000, but the lifehunt scythe is only worth 14 souls? The Butterfly horn is worth 1.000, although the butterflies are created by Seath.

Hornet's Ub, with the Wolf's being worth only 50, Hornet 1000. Also Velka's Rapier is worth I believe 5000, though the black cleric set is only worth 100 per piece.

Gotta establish one thing first. Is he giving you souls like payment or are the souls a byproduct of the items' destruction?

I'd assume payment, since for most sous he just gives you 500.

You can break down titanite without getting a byproduct of souls, so I guess payment.

Eki, No. but that's funny. If you feed him a chunk you get smaller pieces. I always thought you just collected the debris from his meal. If that's the case then the amount of souls is either
A. Unrelated to his opinion entirely as you're only getting what's released from the item bring broken, or

B. The opposite of Tolvo's idea. The items you get the least amount of souls from are his favorite, as in he basically licks the plate clean

I'm wondering if it is just in relation to Abominations. Smough, Seath, both weird freaky abominations, Pricsilla as well in regards to her Scythe. Beings that appear to be closer to perfection, are worth more.

The real question now is how do we get Weird Al Yankovich to play in the background of this thread?

Well, my Solaire Shield is worth a thousand, but it is fully upgraded +4 lightning. So I think the more they are upgraded, they change. As well if anything becomes crystal, 1.

This is why I never barter with Frampt, the economy at work there is really just 6's and 7's.

As long as there aren't 3's and 4's, Anor Londo has enough of those.

Maybe it all comes down to normal supply and demand. Cheap stuff is either common or tastes like ****

But, making Crystal weapons costs the same as making other weapons.

Yup. That's the "tastes like ****" theory. Now how much it took to get it but how much he drools

Also if it's crystal, Seath, and Priscilla for cheap items, those are all Seath related. Maybe smough is too.

Well another way to think of it is as I mentioned, abominations.

Does anyone know what each of the Blacksmith Hammers are worth?
