Has Anyone Else Ever Wondered About Corpses Spontaneously Appearing?

I'm not talking about about the pre-placed bodies holding items you find all over, I'm talking about the ones that just... Appear.
With a lot of Dark Souls bodies, you can explain it away with, "Well, someone died here!" But when one thinks about the corpses that show up with armor after you accomplish some task, it begs the question of how it gets there.

Take King Jeremiah's armor for example. I've walked by the Half-Breed before without there being a body; but now that I've killed Jeremiah's phantom,there's suddenly a corpse hanging out on one of the benches carrying his armor, complete with oddly-phallic helmet.

The same things happens with Lautrec, Kirk, Leeroy, and a few more I may be missing. Spontaneous Corpse Appearance happens quite frequently in this game, and I CAN'T be the only one wondering how/why it does. :x

It's part of the time anomaly. In order to have a corpse they need to die. Per their game mechanics it's basically either you kill them our they continue living. So unless you catch them at an intersection of worlds and kill them they're not corpses.

I suppose..

I didn't kill Jeremiah and prop his corpse on a bench..
Maybe he invaded around the bench..

Lol. That's a good point. Sorry, should say it better because you're right. Without intersecting in a meaningful way (like a duel to the "death") the corpse won't make it back to your world

I always thought it was a representation of their actual status. For example, the Jeremiah invading you isn't the true Jeremiah. Is a reflection of him, a mirror of the man he was; he's invading you from another point in time.
The true Jeremiah died on the spot you find the corpse with his armor - his corpse. Killing the false one sets the time flux right, so his corpse appears.

Do you honestly want to know why that phallic device is so near to Priscilla man? Come on, give the girl some Privacy, she's only human/god/dragon.
