by mattyice47 Fri Jul 27, 2012 3:13 pmhey, i got this game about 3 weeks ago and i love it but im stuck! i am not sure where to go next. im level 70 knight and have rung the first bell, and killed the moonlight butterfly. I also killed the giant sewer rat in the depths. i think blightown is next but im not sure. any feedback would be nice. Aslo my best armor is a mix of eastern and elite knight with the drake sword. locations on better things? thanks

You need to go back to the Depths, you killed the Rat but that's not the boss. Go back down there find the real boss, get what he will drop for you and investigate it. It will tell you where to go.

@matty - Just keep doing what you've been doing, as part of the fun of an initial play-through is working out things for yourself. If you really get stuck consult this wiki, but only do so if you're really getting desperate. Good luck... G

his attacks hit very hard and cover a huge area. im gonna have to level up more to beat him.

matty remember something, your character won't cover for you. This isnt a typical RPG where mroe levers = more gooder, the best way to improve is to actually get better yourself. Fight him again, learn his moves and beat them

yes but most of his attacks cover 3/4 of the area and when you move in close he does that slam thing that pushes everything back and knocks a good 1/4 of my health down while blocking! i do need to learn his moves though

Best advice I can give is upgrade yourfavourite armour, weapon and maybe go to the catacombs and get some really cool goodies

Well try two things, don't get hit by his magic AoE, block it with the Crest Shield if you do, and wait I've got a third, take your time.

In Dark Souls, I've found that gear > levels. Levels are very nice, yes, but upgrading weapons and armour can make any fight much easier. GLHF!

Try a lighting weapon on him too. I used a +5 lightning curved sword and it cut him down pretty quick. Those big swings of his can be blocked pretty well, especially if you have the poise. Just try not to get sat on. That sucks bad.

Stray Demon you say? Got an upgraded weapon that causes bleed? He's really weak to it. A +15 uchi ends that fight hysterically fast. Also try fighting him without lock on and try to stay behind him. When he does that ground slam with his weapon just try to back up about 2 roll lengths. I usually like to get behind him and just turn his tail into mincemeat. Good luck though!
