Parts you still struggle with/panic at...

Well most of us here seem to have had the game for a while and have probably done multiple playthroughs. I've had the game since the Xbox 360 release in the UK and have now got my technique and tactics down for most of the game. And I'm sure many of you have as well.

However, there are still some parts of the game that I hate, no matter how many times I do them. Either I just can't pull it off properly, or there is some sort of psychological reason that I really get tense and nervous when I'm about to do them (probably because of how many times I died on my first playthrough from it).

Mine is (and always will be) those god damned Archers in Anor Londo. I also still get really nervous heading into Blight Town from the depths entrance.

So, what say you?

O&S. I can get through the archers easily but that duo. God I hate them.

Hm, pretty much the entire endgame. It's not about skill for me, it's a motivation issue. I just see Lost Izalith and ToG as rushed, and New Londo/the first part of the Archives isn't fun to me. My "playthrough" ends when I get the Lordvessel, so to speak.

^That happens on all my 80s. I know what you mean about the lord areas. There's just something about them that's missing.

The Entire Demon Ruins/Lost Izalith is just a slog for me, I hate both areas and I absolutely dread having to go through them (and don't get my started on the *** bed of chaos)

New Londo ruins and Tomb of Giants still give me the creeps especially in newgame+ because the ghosts seem to have been at it like rabbits since my first play through and the Darkwraiths seem to be lurkier. As for the ToG, the skele dogs and the giant skellies have definitely been on steroids, I've taken to running past them whenever I can. Also, these areas are so dark they remind me of when I was a little kid and hid under the bed clothes because my parents thought that keeping the light on kept me awake. If they only knew.

I still hate Bed of chaos. The fight feels sloppy. It is also the only boss that I would argue is poorly designed

Capra demon.... I know he is easy mode and i killed him so many times now but somehow, everytime i get to him i get nervous to fight him again.
On my first playthrough i must have died 30 times to that guy and i think thats why i still feel nervous when i get to go to him again.

Archers Anor Londo as well and O&S even though in New Game + they were a lot easier in my opinion and beat them solo as well! I got Solaire to help the first time and killed Smough first as I wanted Orsnteins armour/soul.. but then he supersized and tore me a new one, so then I just did Ornstein first then Smough

Crystal Caves walking across the invisible floors and those damn clams.. god I have them!

Valley of the Drakes, still have not tempted to cross that bridge with the Wyverns on it and was halfway through NG+ .. started a new save..

Ah can't believe I forgot about New Londo in my OP... I hate that place, specifically the upper part more than the lower part for whatever reason.

I then slide down & either get one side & fall in a hole -_-
or I get my *** slapped so hard I die.

Crossing the beams in the church in Anor Londo! I've probably been through that bit
hundreds of times, yet I still find my character walking, my hands sweaty, my *** clenched
and my breathing gets heavy.

What makes it even worse is if I'm with another player they just blitz across it!
Sprinting, Flipping, Rolling! It makes me panic even more :'(@

I still panic and freak out anywhere I haven't killed the boss yet. Hahha.... OTL

Fiction, your list mirrors mine exactly, especially the AL archers. I've taken to always stocking up on poison arrows before I start Sen's Fortress, then in AL I get to the platform with the two lightning imps and snipe the archer on the right side. I wait for him to die of poison before I even start heading up there.

BoC is also up there on the list. It's the only boss I've never beat during a playthrough without dying at least once.

If you want to make the arhcers easier find the archer inside anor londo on a balcony. The practice dodging his shots by rolling. I spent baout 10 minutes doing that and now I can do the archers first try.

those damn rafters in anor londo, every time i do a nw playthrough that's where i die for the first time and its the only place i die at least twice.

Glad to see I'm not the only one who feels the Lord areas are sorely lacking the Dark Souls charm. I mean, I'd gladly play through the entirety of Demon's Souls; I love almost every single world of that game. And my dislike with 5-2 and 3-2 isn't even close to the utter dread I feel whenever I remember I still got ToG/Lost Izalith/New Londo left.

At least I can skip 50% of lower New Londo.

New Londo and the Four Kings.

Ornstein and Smough - I play magic users, and Ornstein tends to cause me problems. Specifically, he tends to rush me as soon as I enter the room. Depending on my soul level, I might not have enough stamina to run to the sides, feint and roll away from his opening and follow up attacks.

Since my play style is a little more strategic and relies more on cunning than outright combat, enemies that rush me and overwhelm me with fast follow up attacks tends to make me panic. Channelers who buff surrounding enemies before I can deal with them cause me problems, as well.

I can do the BoC , rafters, TotG, and Anor Archers easily.
But the 4 Kings, I can never do it alone and ng+ is an absolute nightmare.

I just hate Btown from the Depths entrance so much that on my latests playthroughs I've been a oided it completaly.
I also hate doing the upper new londo part early in the game to get my very large ember... It is a real pain in the butt. Hint ( stack on firebombs, they are so helpfull killing the gohsts).
But mostly I get a little jumpy when I'm in human form clearing the area with the boss still alive that I tend to hear the invasion sound all the time.

A certain uncomfortable Bed.

I agree that Lost Izalith is a lacking area. TotG had the theme of darkness and powerful enemies, it was designed to crush you and make you terrified, but Izalith/Ruins was clearly going for something huge and epic and just failed. I like the city part, but why are the only enemies those little stone Firesages? I just tend to run through the lava and ignore fighting all of the demons, then the area is so short and anticlimactic.

I just got past those archers today! God I hate them, I also dread that jump near the Firelink Shrine to get where Domhnall of Zena sits.

Anor Londo's Archer section can be easily passed if you use Hidden Body and go for broke across the archway.
