my str build.

I kinda didn't wanna put it up since it's one of my favourite builds but nth the most original I know. I kept seeing posts about how much star sucks compared to dex builds which is not true imo, everyone knows I will always defend str builds since they're my favourite in the game so I'm gonna start by saying that please give str builds a try and don't just press r1 and give up in it, don't be lazy.

The esoc on the left hand is awesome to chip at your opponent's vit and annoy them which causes them to try to b.s. you which you should know how to counter but strapping back and go around them to b.s them or spam r1 with will give you an easy parry if you know how to. The rolling attack of the greataxe is really good and will stun most people and is pretty good for dead angling and when you riposte with it REALLY hurts. The garg Hal is pretty awesome to keep your opponent guessing and hits hard for an elemental weapon, you can also use a spear if you wanna be extra annoying. That's ppretty the much it, just saying....maybe give str builds a try for more than five mins before you give up on them.

Good stuff, I wouldn't call it a beginner's build at all though.

Imo there's no such thing as a beginner str build. They're the hardest to get used to and specially be good with it. This is more for people that have a little experience with PvP and wanna get unto PvP without getting rolled bsed every time they press r1.

Str builds will always have disadvantages compared to Dex builds, thats more or less a fact.
I used to discard str builds because dex builds offer so much more versatility, but since I made my first str build with the DGH I've never looked back.

This is my build http://tinyurl.com/cfswpv2 , with that I can use the DGH, a 3.0 weight shield (for parry) and different RH2 weapons without having to switch armors.
My advice for those who plan on making a str build, learn to play with more then one or two weapons, so that you can switch weapons mid-fight (inventory fast switch) to throw your opponent off. Add a faster RH2 weapon (rapiers/spears/bows) to add some versatility, many will just expect you to spam R1 or the 2H R1 roll attacks.

I was having a ton of fun with my str build using a large club and dragon bone fist. I was getting killed a lot, but i actually managed to land some bad *** dbf r2s. I kinda wanna try and get better at landing some of those ridiculous r2s some weapons have. One of my favorites is the butcher knifes, but your opponent has to be rather aggressive for it to have a good chance of landing. I have never been able to get good at offhanding a pierce weapon, but ive seen how effective it can be.

There are no disadvantages at all imo, str just a very steep leaning curve which puts people off str builds and they end up going with dex instead. I actually have a build just like yours except mine has 65 end and I like it a lot but not as much as the one I just posted, I actually meant to say that it's more for people with PvP experience that wanna give str builds a serious try(Damn you phone) and not get rolled bsed every time the attack since estoc will keep people off your ***. Out of th ten build slots seven of them are str builds and his is the one that I find more balanced and easier to use if you know how to dodge and parry.

That it does, I didn't wanna use rapier in the beginning. Since it's a str weapons but I find myself needing them in the burg specially. It just makes it a lot easier to keep people off my *** and connect with the greataxe consistently. I ended up liking it a lot more than I would've thought to the point where it might become one of my favourite buillds.

Yeahn it's really underrated and I actually only started using it some months ago since I discovered it had a b in str and it has really good ar. The only times I see it being used is for backstage which I hate but most people that use str weapons is pretty much atom they do with them which really pIsses me off.

Someone else uses the Gaxe . People often underestimate it, which makes it easy for me to stunlock them. I like playing with my str build, even though it’s hard with only 40/0 poise. But i haven’t tried using a rapier in off hand.

I actually just started and I was glad I did since it makes the greataxe easier to use cause estoc keepsyour opponent back and they won't try to fish as much when they keep getting poked with a rapier. I used to use a spear. Which worked well but I couldn't parry with it so I ditched it. I'd say definItely try it spur, it's worth the extra points imo, this is coming from he guy that all his build have 10 dex or less.

My current str has 10 dex IIRC. Maybe i should make a new one.

You should if you feel like it, I keep "fixing" my builds every couple of months. The only build I'm never gonna chAnge is my leeroy build.
