Peter Nordstrom, who created the 5 "treasures untold" statues on
preparetodie.com's give away for the release of Dark Souls, has created a
line of "mini's" for fans and collectors alike. There are three
    available:

Black Knight (1st edition sold out, 2nd edition currently on sale; limited to 25)
Elite Knight (1st edition, limited to 15, a few available)
Executioner Miralda (from Demon's Souls, 1st edition, limited to 25, a few available)

Ya I've talked to him before. He's an awesome guy. I have one of his 2nd edition Black Kights and I recently bought one of the Elite Knight busts (about 4 days ago) and expecting it to be here by tomorrow. Don't know if I got my hands on the last Elite Knight though, when I talked to him on Deviantart kind of sounded like I did though his blog post said he had two more. So if there is one more someone should get if fast before it's gone.

He just messaged me saying he has some left. So I asked him to put it on hold til' Friday. So I can ask my dad to buy it. I'm buying two at the same time so it's cheaper. $75.

You know I think he has a Nito Statue for sale to. You'd have to talk to him though about it. Plus you'd need $2000 to buy it. Here's two images of it:

the elite knight armor busts are almost sold out.. only 2-3 left. they take awhile to paint so when someone orders one i have to spend half a day painting it. not sure if there will be a 2nd edition of them; just depends on if there is enough demand. maybe when dark souls 3 is released, if i'm not busy making new statues from it.

and yes, i do have a few large original statues available that are like the ones that were given away through namco- chaos witch quelaag, penetrator demon, and gravelord nito, and they are a bit expensive winking

Nice. Also let me say that for awhile I didn't notice the fact that your username is the same on deviantart and here thus I thought you were someone else for a few minutes. XD

Hmmmm. I might also have to talk with you about the Penentrator Statue. Definitely one of my favorite looking bosses in Demon's Souls.

    What are they made of?

I love the look of the Black Knight! It's not exactly true to the game, has just a hint of artistic touch--very nice. Sadly, no money at the moment...

I make the original statues out of Magic Sculpt- it's a 2 part epoxy that self dries very hard. I usually just do original statues but recently learned how to created molds, which is useful to do these small series so everyone has a chance to collect a piece of my art at a small price (not many can afford a large original). So the mini's I am selling, the material is like a hard plastic (the brand is smooth-on, it's the cast material). I make and pour each mold and figure, then hand paint and number them to the limited edition.

When I made most of the figures for Namco, the game wasn't released yet so all I had to work with were concept drawings, which were interpreted by the game designers and came out a bit different. And when I made the figures, I had to use the concept drawings on most (they were able to get me screen shots of the titanite demon, and then for the additional figures they had me make I had screenshots of the gaping dragon, quelaag, and orenstein & smough). The black knight was based off of one of the first shots they used to promote the game, which a lot of people thought looked like Sauron.

Yeah, that's what it looks like, concept art! Sorry I'm broke--it doesn't look like you're having a hard time selling them anyway, making second editions and all. Nice work!

the black knight was the first bust i made, and the first edition sold through very fast as there was a lot of hype about the game and fans visiting the message boards and seeing my artwork. it's slower now with the game being out awhile, but still regular sales of people buying 1, 2, or 3 mini's at a time.

anyway, dianaduh, your avatar of quelaag's siter is a statue i wanted to make awhile back but didn't have the time. still something i would consider in the future! happy

Got my Elite Knight bust today. It's pretty awesome. I'll have to post a picture of both it and my Black Knight bust as some point together showing them off a bit.
