    Ok I'm sure this question must have been asked countless times before, but there's just too many threads to be trawling through.

    I want to save Solaire. I know you have to open the shortcut to lost LI and kill the bugs there. What I was wondering is, if you die before beating the bed of chaos, does that mess it up? Or can you simply kill the bugs again?

    just kill the bugs before you EVER enter izalith on that playthrough, and he will live, but if you leave one alive and enter izalith then hes dead

    You have to kill the one with red eyes. The rest don't matter, and you have to do it before you enter izalith like bb said.

    And if I get killed in Izalith and have to reenter, does he still live?
