Dragon Glitch - Not on my watch!

Post by Kirk-Barb on Tue Jul 24, 2012 3:35 pm

I'm helping to defeat the twin gargoyles on the Parish church roof. I'm farming the Parish for souls to upgrade my pyrohand and the extra 5000 souls helps. I get summoned as the third wheel with a host and a dragon warrior. My first thought was... ugnk... dragon guy!?!? But I curb my prejudice. Just because he can do the glitch, doesn't mean he will.

We clean out the down stairs, kill both the knight and channeler, and do the same for the upstairs. While the host went off to free Lautrec, the dragon guy and I just hung around with all the dead hollow zombies. We are invaded and out of the doorway pops a Darkmoon Warrior. Hah! The host is a sinner. The dragon guy immediately goes to attack. I hesitate as my initial distrust of all dragon forms kicks in again. Sure enough the ?#&$*%! does the force wave glitch and captures the poor guy in the force field and dangles him about like a puppet. Now what? I can't do anything to the dragon guy, we are on the same team. I could BC out in protest, but that won't help the Darkmoon Guy. Now I know I can interact with the Darkmoon Guy. What if I put myself between the Dragon Guy and his prey??? Could I then pop the Darkmoon guy free? So I experiment. I close in on the pair and try to force myself between them. Unfortunately the Dragon Guy figured out at the last moment what I was doing and tried to spin away from me with his captive. So I don't know exactly what happened. Especially since visually everything was distorted by the constant wave burst. But, either I got between them, or the Dragon Guy spun away too fast, or the Darkmoon got brushed off by a wall or something, the Drakmoon guy came free and hightailed it out of there. Down the hall, to the stairs leading to the church's ground floor. Mission accomplished, so I decide to suicide. I jump down from the enchanter's perch to the church's ground floor and head outside. I jump to my death, and funny thing, the Darkmoon is right behind me. I get some souls from him and hopefully he got some from me as well. happy

I hope you don't think all dragons are like that though, yes they're are people that will do that but I know a lot of people including myself that would never do that and are dragons.

I'm trying not to Gaxe, but it is awfully hard not to when I can't remember the last time a Dragon Guy wasn't glitching me or a host I'm trying to help. 😢

Just like how many Warriors of the Sun aren't really sunbros and just
want to gank. WoW should have been the ganking covenant silly

Don't judge us by one bad scale, or
actually, by the hundreds of bad scales. The good ones are full of honor, and really want to duel you. I understand completely that no one would want to summon a dragon though sad

I wouldn't have run. Only way to learn to beat it is to try.

I don't know. There were three of us and only one of him. To go against a dragon glitcher and two others seems a little much. So I don't blame him for leaving. I left because I didn't want to play with a glitcher, but didn't feel right in betraying the host.

Billy was saying in another threat that you can break the roar with a longweapon running thrust attack, or something like this

I suppose there was reason for his using the glitch at the Undead Parish: Griefers.

Of course, he could have just went and gotten much better gear to counteract the griefers, but I don't think that would have sent the exact same message.

I suppose it really comes down to what you find worse: People who make their character's main purpose to make newbs struggle even more with this ridiculous game, or people who glitch against them. :|

I don't agree. There were three of us and only one of him. I don't care what type of equipment the Darkmoon guy had, we had the advantage.... big time. There was no need to glitch to protect the host.

There will be a patch to prepare for the DLC so I think they will probably fix a few glitches and tweak some gear.

There's easy ways to beat it, the only thing is IF they do manage to get you caught in the roar or hit you with knives/firebombs you're done. There's no escape, no toggling out of the stagger. I haven't tested, but i got caught in the knives. Guy kept using devine blessing to heal, and i couldnt 1shot bs him. It takes a while to kill you with the poison knives so i spent that time trying to toggle out. I could not do it, it could be possible but i personally dont think you can.
