Four Kings on NG6. Any hints?????

I kill the first guy but the second spawns just quick enough to kill me before I can get my magic barrier up and get a humanity/flask into me.

I've been donning the Mask of the Child, using the Grass Crest Shield and two handing a washing pole +15 to get in a bunch of quick hits. I'll swap the GCS for Havel's Shield and one hand them too. All to no avail.

Anybody ever beat these guys a different way? My way doesn't work.

If you get used to dodging instead of blocking (except their magic) it'll pay off.

You could switch to the Crest Shield to keep your weight down, switch to Mask of the Mother to keep your Vit up, and in your items the only things you want are your Estus and, almost as important, GREEN BLOSSOMS.

If you buff your sword along with all this you'll destroy them. Actually, if you ignore everything else and just buff your sword you'll probably still destroy them. Buffs and sorcery shred the kings. Do you have the Sunlight Blade buff?

Ignore Child mask. You need extra defense.

Wear full Smoughs Armor and two hand the best weapon you have with the best buff on it. Also throw on Great magic barrier or magic barrier when needed and Keep clubbin until they are all dead. Do not worry about dodging just chug flask You might want to throw on a FAP ring too. I beat them every time with this strategy solo.

If you have SLB stick it on a daggerand swing. The lightning damage tears through their hp and the swing speed means you get plenty of DPS. Remember to stick close to the living king, so the others dont engage you.

DWGR, BKGA, power within, mask of the child and grass crest shield. That's roughly my setup against them. And I always summon Beatrice.

Thanks to all!!!!!!! Used 5 Great Magic Barriers (can't use Green Blossom when these are active!), Ring of Favor, Giant Armor, Mask of Mother, stuck with Greatsword of Artorias at 300 per strike and gave each king the loving attention he deserved up close and personal almost hugging them. lol

Thanks again! Now I can finish this thing and move back to Skyrim.

Ah, I can't wait 'til I get to NG+6, I'm on NG++ now and just beat them. I need to improve my dodging against them for the future.

Build up your endurance!!!!!!! That to me was the key to survival in these later rounds. I almost exclusively wear +5 Giant Armor and carry Havel's Shield without worrying about weight. Get that Dark Wood Grain Ring, keep your weight below 50% and you'll be a God! lol

Don't always believe these fire, lightning, magic, etc weapons are the shiznit either. I almost always use the Greatlord Greatsword, Artorias, +15 Zwei and +15 Washing Pole. I rarely put resin on the latter two. Just a waste of time for me. I go in swinging and dodging. Most of the time I don't even lock onto them. As a matter of fact I didn't know you could do that until half way through NG+!!!!! So I finished the game WITHOUT locking onto them in NG. Tough as nails. lol

Good luck to you. Once your endurance is high enough you'll move through the plus levels in only a couple days. My toughest opponent after the 4 Kings was the Smough/Ornstein combo until I realized you can hide behind a broken column to take out the times 2 guy with a bow. The next toughest was the Fire Demon because he hits so hard but I realized you can run down the left side all of the way to the end to get him over to that side of the room then run back along that wall into the corner, turn and start shooting his dumb arse cuz he's stuck against a root. lol

LOL. Glad I wasn't the only one who had this problem.

I also only realised you could slide down ladders on NG++....

And how do you do that???????? hahahahahaaaaaaaaa I found a way to kick but I've never slid down a ladder. Too funny.

Press the roll button while climbing the ladder.

If you learn to dodge they are easy. I just beaten them again on NG7. Dodging them is like skipping. If you get the hang of it they are easy!

And dont even bother summoning Beatrice. She is USELESS.

She's a better tank than my character

Get 40 dex, at least 30 faith and buff with dmb or slb then proceed to destroy them in seconds with Ricard's r2.

the trick is always you have to be near them attack all the time as possible and evade they attacks don,t run and anything like cuz they will trow you magic so remember near and attack and evade if you learn that don,t matter that you have low defense trust me that my favorite boss that the trick to kill them try it and you gnna see that its work men and good lock that boss is hard as hell in that high ng+

She's a better tank than my character

She is especially useless from NG+ and up. The 4 kings get more health with each extra character you bring with u. It's also on wiki. I always mail people about it after a lost battle with Beatrice and then the second time they don;t summon her and they immediately win the battle. It's a timed battle.

consider wearing armor with high magic defense. You can easily get up to 400 before magic barrier.

I wear the wanderers it has good magic and physical defense. Dingy outfit is also great!
