by SlakeMoth Mon Jul 23, 2012 5:16 amPlaying with my second character last night, I decided to go for the Asylum Demon and the titanite Slab, so I dolled myself up in what I thought was appropriate gear (Gold hemmed, Bloodshield and Lifehunt Scythe), cast Fall Control and took the plunge.
Well I did really well, the Lifehunt Scythe was leeching the life of this monstrosity fast but what I'd not noticed was that it was leeching the life out of me as well! Just as the Demon fell, a message flashed up, the dreaded words 'Blood Loss!' and I died at the same moment as the Demon. All I got for my efforts was a Homeward Bone, the Demon's souls and one humanity. No slab!
I know this was entirely my fault and I'm not asking for sympathy but I'm posting this as a warning to other players. Dark Souls is the great game that it is because it doesn't suffer fools gladly and it certainly made a fool out of me.
