    About time I made this. This is the Beta thread for the next war. I will make th eproper thread 2 weeks before hand as usual. I will request we keep lore writing to a minimum at this stage (sorry Viral) as I dont want to transfer a ton of content to the proper thread when I make it.

    The current date for the event is 12am UTC, Saturday the 8th of September. Please take careful note of the time as 12am UTC means fo ramericans it will still be the Friday the 7th. I dont want the same mix up as last time.

    Right, the main idea of this thread is to finalise what will happen this war. I have some ideas I want to share with you guys and see if you want to do them or not. At this time none of the following are in effect, they are all still to be voted on. I will also require some people to do testing for me for some, to check whether they are viable. To vote simply say the idea and put an answer. My first post wil lshow you how.

    Voting on ideas 1 and 4 are closed.

    Idea 1 (closed): Length of event. 24 (votes: 1) or 48 hours (votes: 15). Vote passed: 48 hours
    Idea 2: Level ranges for PS3. 60-80 only (votes: 6) 60-80 and 120 (votes: 4). Onyl PS3 players can vote.
    Idea 3: Level range for xbox. 60-80 only (votes: 2) 60-80 and 120 (votes: 3). Only xbox players can vote.
    Idea 4 (closed): Lives for leaders. Implement the lives system for leaders (votes:) Use the war to test the lives system further (votes: 16) Vote passed: Testing concept
    Votes up to post 118 counted.

    Voting will close the day I make the proper thread. At that time whichever option has a majority of votes will be chosen as the rule for the event. Tiebreakers will be decided by the covenant leaders. While the votes are important in the field research will be held in higher regard when determining these choices. If testing absolutely shows that the ToG is dead for co-op/invasions at 120 then regardless of the votes the level range will be restricted.

    @Dark Last war we were meant to test the effectiveness of the lives system. However the low turn out meant that didnt happen. So the tests basically involve people keeping track of their lives and seeing when they run out, running out having no actual effect on what you do. Just edit your previous post when you make a decision.

    So do you mean that the leader of a cov would only have so many lives or chances before he or she could not participate any more?

    I am just a simple Canadian Dough I was unsure of what ya meant by lives? silly

    Yeah each leader gets 3 lives and each commander gets 6. When you fight someone fromthe opposite team and die you lose a life. When you run out of lives something happens.

    You mean that concept? That is the lives concept. We either implement it or test it.

    Its not a new concept. The vote is to decide whether we we impelment the lives system this war. Or use this war to test the lives system better. There is no other concept.

    Idea 1 48 hours give everyone a chance to join

    Idea 2 60-80 only split levels makes no sense

    Idea 4 no lives. I liked the leaders being worth more points, it only became a problem last time because of the duels stage of the war where Wyrm fought and lost repeat duels basically giving away points. Out in the wild your chances of running into a leader are low and controlled by fate, if you stumble across a leader and slay them you should get a bonus.

    Leaders being worth more points discourages them from participating or at least to avoid other forum members. so I feel like we need something different....

    oh yeah and splitting the levels is silly.
    no strong opinion on 48 hours

    wait what? the only options are 120 only or 60-80 + 120.... the hell? I thought we had already shown TotG was dead at 120.

    I believe I was told 120 was a better level on xbox. Maybe that was for the PW. Hmmm, I'll change it, but do you mind doing some tests on xbox Dan? Ive only had tests done on PS3.

    Though i really experienced being dead at 120, I'll try more if it changed now since my mission at ToG happened 2 weeks ago.

    Oh, and 48hrs just for this time so we could test more how the system works

    1: 48 hours
    2: 60-80 only (only because coop at SL120 is too temperamental, especially since it's Tomb of the Giants)
    4: Test lives system. It's been used once I believe, but you need to see with more experience how well it works.

    Also some of yo umay have noticed that under the vote counts it says up to the number of posts I have counted. Rather than add each persons individually to make it easier I am doing it in groups. If you wish to change your choice and after after the post nuymber feel free to edit. If you are before the post number please link me to your original post and then state your new vote in the new post.
