Creation or Darwinism ? Empty Creation or Darwinism ?

Post by ZikoLogiKa NL Sat Jul 21, 2012 8:45 am

I don't believe in Darwinism , there's only evolution of the brain , degeneration of the rest.
I believe in creation , every living thing in existence was born perfect and complete.

If fish really came crawling out of the water to evolve into lizards , there sould've been found odd skeletons showing this transition !! There is science backing this up.

The following isn't approved by science , not my belief , but rather just my thoughts

It's all about math , the Fibonacci sequence can found in many living things and I think nature uses it to make a calculation to find the Golden Number , which in return might allow for creation of a new species to take place.

If nature , or ''god'' has calculated how to create a new species to inhabit planet earth, it will be created perfect instantly , there's no evolution taking place !

Leaves and branches don't grow randomly on plants, it is all predetermined.

Offcourse natural selection will always take place., what Im questioning is that species evolve into another, because (i think) according to Darwin's interpretation there would have to be at least 1 mutated skeleton to be found from a species that wasn't ''completed'' yet.

part reptile / part bird .

I think nature ''calculates'' or creates something new to live alongside the rest , rather then species EVOLVING into new species themselves because species are known to degenerate.

Every living being has a specific task in the environment which can't be ignored by them., they can only do that..

Humans are so intelligent that they could work alongside one another to make the world a better place for all living beings , rather then what we are focussing on nowadays

Now ,Do you believe in Creation or Darwinism ??

    really ?

I think this is allowed , it's not about religion , and Im not singling out people's beliefs.

I would just like to hear everyone's opinion on this because I usually only speak about this with people from my own country 😢

I thought we are not allowed to make ''jokes'' about religon on the forum

I suppose as long as we keep it civil there should be no reason to worry. Personally, evolution.

Are there not those mudfish and such that can quickly scrable from puddle to puddle of water? they seem an appropriate transition species to me.
I am not a big fan of the creation belief myself although I am woefully uneducated on both sides of the argument.

You left out an option. I believe in both. A grand creator capable of the intricacies of existence can also allow the creations to evolve. They're not mutually exclusive in my opinion

I was referring to Darwinism , rather than the general term evolution, because only our brains have evolved !

In the begining , human's only used the left half of the brain , or the right i don't know haha winking

String theory, which, funnily enough, virtually garuntees that both are true, at the same time.

Im referring to Darwin's theory of evolution , relating all races and species by common descent., the theory that you probably learned in Biology class. winking

What Im saying in Layman's terms is that we did not come forth from Apes , apes didn't transform into humans and Apes never gave birth to humans.

So the South Park version of the argument. The problem there is no supporter of evolution I've ever heard of said that a human came out of an ape vagina. The actual concept as outlined is of a common ancestor not a direct line. Rather than a missing link in a chain the idea is a missing link or intersection of divergent paths which at this point in time are not defined. Did the path split recently (close to ape) or did it split during early mammalian development? I can understand how the distinction is of little significance to some in its repugnance however I still argue that there is no reason they exclude each other. However, I get why you might not feel that way. But since you asked my answer is still "both"

I really appreciate your input , opinion , view and elaboration on this topic !

haha no I haven't based my ideas of of Southpark , but Im really interested in politics , history , nutrition , philosophy , economics and science amongst other things. big grin

I used to be ''studying'' all sorts of material twenty four seven ,and incorporate all of that into music also , but I took a break from it all over a year ago because I got burned-out , it was getting the best of me.

Music really used to be some sort of an obsession for me., it was hard not relating just about anything with new ideas for a song. Even when I was just talking with people , I picked up a word from a sentence , and my mind drifted away because I was always working on my ''project''

I watched a lot of English spoken documentaries & read a lot of American books , aside from Dutch material.

I always loved language courses in school but it's really hard properly discussing matters like evolution or polictics with you guys since it's not my foreign language.

Im glad i can type out things and rearange sentences because if we were standing face to face I would be like ... uuuuh ..uuhm all the time haha

Ive noticed most people who love Dark Souls are also big thinkers themselves , but that is pretty obvious.

I don't know how to say say the following , but I'll try haha

Many-many games display or imply a lot of information from human culture , theories , religion , mysteries , history or mythology into the main story or background , albeit often deluted , or not noticable if you know nothing about the subject they've incorporated an element from into the game.

Ive always been intrigued and interested by those kind of things since I was a child and it's great you can also find all of those things back in gaming

Creation or Darwinism ? Empty Re: Creation or Darwinism ?

Post by Yukon Sat Jul 21, 2012 11:22 am

If I had to choose between the two, personally I believe in natural selection and evolution. But, like skare already said, Darwinism isn't saying that one day a random chimp gave birth and it was suddenly human. We merely share a common ancestor, the reason why this ancestor hasn't been discovered yet is because in the grand scope of things humans are a -VERY- very new species of animal. we've only been around for a very short time, and fossils are rare and take time to establish.

Your comment about the human race becoming weaker, I'm curious about this and wonder if you would elaborate?

Humans aside though, when I look at nature I don't see these perfect unique animals, everything feels very connected to me. Its hard to me to think that one day BOOM, perfection everywhere. I think my inability to believe in perfection is what keeps me from believing in creationism.

Heey Yukon Ive chosen to delete and adjust several sentences of the main post , what I was speaking of was human degeneration. I chose to delete several things cause they derived from the main question too much .

Offcourse natural selection will always take place., what Im questioning is that species evolve into another, because (i think) according to Darwin's interpretation there would have to be at least 1 mutated skeleton to be found from a species who wasn't ''completed'' yet.

part reptile / part bird .

I think nature ''calculates'' or creates something new to live alongside the rest , rather then species EVOLVING themselves.

And yes , every plant and animal on this earth is born or created in perfect shape, you'll never see a hybrid of something , mutating into an actual new species.

Creation or Darwinism ? Empty Re: Creation or Darwinism ?

Post by Yukon Sat Jul 21, 2012 12:23 pm

One could argue that early hominid species are 'imperfect' humans. They are species that couldn't out compete us even though they were around longer than we have been documented to be. a glaringly obvious transition wouldn't be easy to pick out because evolution happens over hundred of millions of years, and should be more subtle than then people seem to believe it should be. the human mind isn't capable of looking at things in such a grand scale, at least I do not believe we are. But there are links between species that are very curious to look at, such as the mud skipping fish someone earlier spoke of or the Coelacanth fish, and was once believed to walk on the bottom of the ocean with its fins and have ancestry with fish that later developed amphibian like skeletal structures. But more often than not an evolutionary change would be followed over too large a span of time for the sudden transformation to be so obvious.

If you consider families of animals that were separated by natural disasters or other natural occurring world changes for millions of years such as lemurs in Madagascar. While this isn't a huge jump its still an impressive look at how different families of the same animal are adaptive and change in appearance and shape to live in a brief time period. You'd still be able to look at each family of lemur and say " that is certainly a lemur! but the colour of the fur is a little different." You might then follow them and see one has adapted feet pads making it able to climb cactus with 3 inch spines. While the others lack this trait. Or some are adaptive to be nocturnal, with large eyes and small bodies.. while others are active during the day.

I think I'm getting off topic a little, so I'll stop here but I hope you can see what I am getting at with this wall of text, haha.

Ummm... You kinda need an option entitled "both", problem for those of us who believe they are compatible ideas where certain ideas and principles are used silly

I also seem to remember Fex saying devoted discussions to religion are kinda sensitive topics that are prone to locking/deletion.
