Man I just can't invade the forest anymore. I'm too rusty now from my break, losing to gankers sucks.

I know what you mean, Tolvo. I took a week off to play Dragon's Dogma and came back rusty as hell. If you don't use it, you lose it.

I can still kill them, but now I need poise, and greatswords, and masks. I'm very disappointed with how my skills have degenerated. I feel like a fat old man talking about playing football in highschool. I'm AL BUNDY!

Gankers are all about getting reinforcements... I can kill them alone, but even a kid with a drakesword provides enough distraction to make that job easier.

I'd say its more about strafing haha. Reinforcements and Mobs are nice, but its way more fun to just out play them by yourself.

Fun? Aggrivating more like.
I get them seperated, chainstab the host, then look for the next ganker.

Separation is key. I'll spend all day running around until one of 'em makes a mistake. Then it's goodbye Sunbro.

I prefer to just tackle them head on, being the underdog is something I've always enjoyed in games.

I don't typically fair well trying to trade damage with three dudes at once. Haha.

Well remember, I used to pretty much exclusively do forest PvP, I was sort of a lead Forest Hunter back in the day. I had to give up on my duelling experience to get that good at hunting, so outside of the forest I mainly sucked, still suck haha.

You know what does piss me off though?
Loydes Talisman. So much potential, but as it only lasts 20 seconds, and can't be re-applied until it wears off, a dedicated flasker still heals.Gankers, btw, tend to be dedicated to that flask... it gives me time to kill the phantoms often though.

Bah, usually they don't get far enough away to flask, phantoms or not. Just keep a good eye on the spacing, and their health. Frankly if they go to flask at 1k hp, I don't care enough anyway.

I tend to kill flaskers anyway... as soon as they try to flask, it just goes downhill, my 1300 damage backstab hurts a lot, and I'm pretty good at chainstabbing, so I often finish them off before they get a chance to interrupt me. Loydes is just a sore spot for me, because I feel they were designed with this stuff literally in mind...

Lloyd's I use more so for duels, but yeah. I usually don't bother with it, I can deal damage out in the time it takes to throw one.

I still throw them, but it's because I'm good at free-aiming. I can hit a ganker over by the summon signs from around where alvina's fortress is. It always puts extra pressure on them to know they currently can't heal, so I do it at the start of the gank.

Yeah I can hit them from as far as well, I just don't really feel like it is worth the effort is all. I sometimes like to crossbow them from their though, dealing barely any damage. Sort of to just get them a bit confused haha.

Also, phantoms hit with a Loydes only get healed for half as much, so sometimes I'll peg just a phantom, backstab it... then let the host burn 6 flasks healing him... I consider that a tactical attrition.

Funny thing is the most use I get out of those talismans is just throwing them at hosts to get their attention. It doesn't stop their healing, but I just love beaning them in the face. I'm talking about when I co-op.

I just started using the talismans as a permanent addition recently and I'm shocked at how many hosts still try to flask :evil:

Ya I don't know how many fools I have OHKO while they were stuck in that can't flask animation....I think my favorite tho this OHKOing a phantom to make to the host flask not realizing his sunbro is already dead...then OHKOing his ganking azz!!!

Also Rynn I keep my forest host low on soft hum so I know how much I steal with my dark hand....70 is my highest from a single AFK hunter....then I kicked him off a ledge

Just had to add since were on the topic I had a blast with lyods during the Anor Londo mass invasion...I hit 3 hosts with lyods and just chased them into a few Silver knights and sat there tossing lyods(yes I know it does nothing till it wears off its just funny and distracting) like a jerk and watched the SK's own them!!!!
