A little assistance reviving my interest...

Well, I'm leaving college for summer break in a day, meaning I'll have quite a bit of time on my hands for seven weeks... So, I kind of wanted to get a little Dark Souls revival going on, considering I haven't touched it in a while.

So, what I'd like to ask of you guys around here--well, let me say, I was really only a PvE kinda guy, but I really want to get interested in PvP, yet have no clue how to go about really building a successful build. I'd like to hear some input from you guys, about what you think would be good for me.

I tend to play melee, actually have never used sorcery or miracles, and started a pyromancer but never fleshed that out much. I really don't mind using any moveset, but I don't want to be a turtle or anything like that in PvP either. Str is fun, was usually my biggest focus on any chars I made, but I really just want to hear from you guys what some of your favorite PvP builds are and why.

I like seeing anything that takes skill to use. Man, I once saw this female chara using 2 fully upgraded pyro flames. That **** was a legit pyro, and holy hell did I lose miserably. Best show of flames ever though.

My all time favourite pvp build, apart from my ornstein cosplay. I use SLB and WoG and generally pvp in the forest as a hunter with it.

Wear a Pinwheel mask with giants armor and DWGR like all the cool kids.

I particularly like Dough's build--I feel like it's very versatile (being a 40/40 after all...) so I might go with that since I'd be able to switch around weapons if I ever get bored and all. Once I get good at 2H I'd definitely like to try out Wyrm's build too...

I think that if you like melee and already tried strength, why don't yoi go with dex now?
You could use the katanas or daggers and knives instead of straight swords.
Also use the now as ranged option.
It could be fun and it would give you the chance of creating new strategies.
But to be honest IMO my sorcerer builds are the greatest to me.
You could try that one too. Going for an Int build.

Dex/end is my fave. Love me some heavy armor and we all know my Great Scythe fascination. Just make sure to keep an eye on the ol' stamina bar.

Shameless plug alert: You could keep an eye out for shenanigan based peddler events. With your help (and a few others) we might break the ten participant barrier! Just look at my sig for the fun times we had.

Skare, once I get a 120 ready for PvP then I'll almost definitely be looking out for your shenanigans. I've wanted to get into DkS PvP for a while but 1.) was intimidated by it 2.) think I suck pretty bad and 3.) didn't necessarily understand very much about making a PvP build.

if you wanna get chain bs'd then go with wyrn's build:P

Hey Dough... About the Bloodshield. I'm assuming the only reason you have it on there is for people using the Lifehunt Scythe right?

lol I juust like the shield. I dont actually even use it anymore. I just 2 hand my weapon. Its mainly for PvE.

Bloodshield is great for any bleed weapon but more importantly it looks snazzy.
