edit; i was just thinking about showing her the hollow thief, shadow armor and thief set as a reference. also the bandit knife is the coolest one so i was just gonna show her it and have her come up with something cooler.

ciaran's armor and dagger
my wife is a designer and i was asked her if she could design ciaran's light armor and dagger since she kicks *** at stuff liek that but then she asked me what it looked like and i was like i had no idea, so im asking you guys if anyone here has found something about it in an item si can better discribe it to her and she can do it cause i really wanna see what she comes up with. anyone?

Re: ciaran's armor and dagger
Apart from a reference on a ring I think there's nada on Ciaran. Maybe the DLC will change that but who knows......

Re: ciaran's armor and dagger
Stick to the usual silver knight set which is the base for Artorias and ornstein set, but make it cloth like

Re: ciaran's armor and dagger
Shes the original owner of the hornet ring, correct? Shes one of the characters i really wish was in the game or at least had more then just the ring. Maybe dlc will further clarify her existence, unless you're talking about another character.

Re: ciaran's armor and dagger
Crimson Red with black could turned out to look pretty cool. It about the design I think on attributes like it has to be light so as an assassin she would have to be agile and quiet.
Maybe a combination between the thief set and the shadow set without a complete ninja look.

Re: ciaran's armor and dagger
You know in the intro of dark souls, at the part where they say "With the lords of souls they challenged the drgons," and there is the knight's leg and sword.
I bet that's Ciadrin.

Re: ciaran's armor and dagger
I think thats just an ordinary silver knight, assuming that they fought the dragons led by Gough and Ornstein

Re: ciaran's armor and dagger
Well Gough is brown. The left handed silver knight may be the GoW since we dont see any left handed chars. Dont forget to incorporae the hornet feel into the clothing rant. Ornstein has his mask, Artorias presumably had something, she should have something that looks like a hornet.

Re: ciaran's armor and dagger
There is an image inthe dark souls concept book of a golden armored female with a serpent and a spider web on the helm, I had a sneaking suspicious that was Ciaran since it was so near artorias and goughs armours

Re: ciaran's armor and dagger
Not that I noticed but both snakes and spiders could be related to treachery or back stabbing Maybe her sword resembles the stinger of a wasp or hornet. The images is up In my image thread if you haven't seen it

- ciaran?:
My first reaction would be that it's Ciaran. But I think From would (hopefully will) change it a lot before actually making it, like Gough changed so much from the first concept we assumed was him to the most recent one.

Re: ciaran's armor and dagger
Thanks blaine, I was typing from my phone so couldn't post the picture myself.
I am sure she will look somewhat different as gough does, but its a good place to start if you are trying to get inspiration for a ciaran armour/weapon drawing. I always thought this desgin looks a little too similar to brass armour, which is interesting if I recall some lore a member here had thought of.
Anyway, if you look at the 3rd helmet in that picture the top part somewhat resmbles antennae.. or atleast I think so.

Re: ciaran's armor and dagger
Doesn't look like a great outfit to sneak in, though! If I were to describe Ciaran for someone to design her armor, I'd show them Ornstein, Artorias, and [the new] Gough, and say it's for the assassin member of this group of 4 Knights. The helmet is important, and there's a certain look to the plating of their armor. So I'd focus on those two things, and make it look like something you could sneak in--be snug, nothing that would be loose and make noise, and probably dark colored.
On a side note, it would be cool if it was a medium armor but it made no noise, like if you were wearing the slumbering dragoncrest ring.

Re: ciaran's armor and dagger
Ciaran was never stated to be an assassin in the actual lore, I think. The description of the ring states that her "dagger laid waste to Gwyn's foes" which does not imply assassination. Also, the title "four knights" doesn't seem like an organization that would count a dishonest assassin as a member. Both backstabbing and riposting aren't necessarily stealth techniques either. Ciaran could have simply been a lightly armored, skillful knight who relied on speed and skill in parrying to kill her foes.

Re: ciaran's armor and dagger
New Gough? I haven't been keeping up much on the new stuff on the DLC since I don't want any spoilers. Will showing me the Gough new art spoil anything? I'm really interested right now...
Also, I'd say put pieces silver knight armor on the female thief set, but make it black. Then have the cloth between the armor red. Then use that to stripe black and red, creating a hornet look.
I hope I described that correctly :| I don't have a tablet nor photoshop anymore, but I feel like I want'em back now to draw my image of Ciarin.
Also, don't have just a mask, I think. Make it a lot like the helm but with a thief-like mask cover. Gosh, it's in my head! Why can't I put it into words?!
