My Dark Souls Song.

Hey all, Ive written a song called Dark Souls. If enough ppl like the words I will try and get a recording done, if not maybe you can just have fun with it by adding your own words.

There are things I should have done that I did not do,
Things I should not have done that I did do,
A promise I should have kept to the voice of reason,
A life time of regret for a life of freedom.

Now every where I look I see demons,
every one I know says they've seen them,
I can taste them in the air that I breath,
I can feel them in the words that I speak.
Chorus
When I look into the sky I see Dark clouds,
when I close my eyes I hear dark sounds,
when i reach inside my mind I think dark thoughts,
When I look inside my heart I see a dark soul.

Everything I know has lost its meaning,
everything I felt has lost its feeling,
Its like i'm being controlled by a dark force,
turning my once pure heart into a dark soul.

When you look into the sky do you see dark clouds,

when you look inside your hearts do you see dark souls.

from a muso's point of view its very basic, but sometiems basic is what you want from lyrics how powerful do you intend the chorus to be?

Well it's very hard to critisize a lyric if the recipient doesn't know what type of music it will become when recorded.

Personally I prefer deep meaningfull or thought provocing lyrics to set the tone and mood for a song / track.

I also prefer the vocals to be louder then the background beat , and I like instrumentals which only consist of a few instruments the most.

Some people rate a song by ''flow'' , Im more of a lyrics kind of musical-enthusiast

Hey thanks for the response, good to know some of you are into lyrics. well I just play acoustic guitar and only wrote it on saturday so theres not really alot to it as you say its a very basic song I like to start off slow and gradually build into it with some heavy strumming. At the moment the chords are just EM,G,D,EM with a slight variation to the chorus .I can add the chords to the lyrics if u like but as I said its very new and wrote it in about 10 mins when I was in work.I love the game as it was the inspiration just thought I would share it with u guys being as u r also into Dark souls (obviously).
