Lautrec bug

I freed Lautrec and restarted my game. I rested at firelink and talked to Lautrec to get his medal. Then I summoned him and Solaire for the Gargoyel fight. When I went to firelink to repay him by killing him, he outsmarted me. He was not there, but firekeeper was .

I only rang bell in the Parish and only picked up the firekeeper soul in the Parish.

This is the first time this happened in any of my playthroughs, but this is also the first time I got his medal before the Gargoyel fight. Could this cause the glitch?

Also, is he going to kill my firekeeper later even though he left early?

Quit and reload

There is actually a point before he kills rhea that he does dissapear for some time. He will come back and do his duty, dont worry. Just keep going in your playthrough
