You simply get a portion of the physical damage turned into magical damage, and instead of using dex or str for scaling the weapon will now also use your int for scaling, so int will increase the damage it does. You can see the amount by toggling the display of the weapon.

Not the ones in the archives lol. Crystal enemies have high mag res. It should be useful against most enemies as they will have lower mag res than phys res.
