How the story makes me feel....
So...... am i the only one who feels sad when I kill Gwyndolin? I know that he is a total **** to the player character but when I kill him it makes me sad thinking of how he became like that, being abandoned by all of his family.....meh. Am i just weird or do the game characters have this impact on any of the rest of you?

I don't care for Gwyndolin, but there are others that do tug at my heartstrings. The Fair Lady and Sif to name a few.

Remorse is taken for those you see in pain... then truth comes and sorrow is removed.
It is best to be red instead of blue... ever wondered why Red Phantoms, both those of a Gravelord and a Darkwraith, require humanity... while those of the blue do not?
Soulful? Yes. Humane? Probably Not.

Re: How the story makes me feel....
Such a lonely life of a gravelord and a darkwraith... they fight everyone including those that follow the same ideals. They never fight with someone by their side... just by their hilt.
Such a lonely life. Those of the blue are known to have more companions than reds, to be sure.

Re: How the story makes me feel....
I am sure that someone out there is turned on by these things.
When I first played, i joined the chaos covenant because I felt sorry for the spider lady... then I showed her mercy by killing her. Other characters fell into such fate.
It is best to know that no matter what happens to them in one world, going to the next one everything comes back... they can never truly die, as they will always come back nonetheless once more.

Thus the nightmare fuel of being an NPC is shown. I believe their's a pokemon creepypasta and makes you sorry about EVERY NPC you come across.

Yeah, but you have control and the knowledge that it's going to happen. Imagine what it'd be like from Rhea's perspective.

If that were the case the game would be VERY different

Re: How the story makes me feel....
I said in posts before that going to Lordran would probably lead towards better findings of the world, as you can bring and keep things as you ascend from the 'completion' of one world to the next... communication with the characters of the world And findings would be more or less fruitful.
And they have already died once... what is to say they prefer to live as an undead?

I found that creepypasta! It's a bit bland but it does bring up the NPC question.

Think of it as depriving the old man from his duty, like temporary retirement till the player restates again.

I don't think Gwyndolin was the super mastermind as everyone seems to believe.

You're right, and at least it was quick and relatively painless. A gravelord's work is never done

You should all thank me for the Basilisk... I asked Baal to integrate it.
Also, thank baal, of course.
