Is it possible to battle the Capra Demon in co-op via Upper Undead Burg?

If a host summons a player for co-op in the upper undead burg, but then takes the unintended-shortcut to the lower undead burg, will the capra demon fog gate be accessible?

Fog gates go up preventing normal travel between upper and lower undead burg, which had me wondering if capra's will work or be disabled.

I can't think of any reason to do this, outside of sequence-breaking with friends, or just doing something out of the ordinary.

No it's not, the fog walls cover the shortcut between lower and upper burg.

I just added a link into the OP, you can jump down to the lower burg, bypassing the fog gates.

I don't know about that. Even if you could it would be difficult to get the summon to follow you unless you had some predetermined agreement.

Ah, that's an interesting route I must say.. Though at low levels I'm not sure you could survive that... Both of you using fall control could do it?

wait.. so an invader can run into the capra room if he starts on the upper burg? That's pretty jokes.

@ serious. fall damage seems to deal damage in %of total hp. so if you have low vit you lose little whereas high vit it takes of alot of hp...

Ah - it's definitely survivable without leveling vit. I did it with a level 1 character, though I was wearing the Ring of Favor and Protection...

It's also not insta-death for co-op. I don't normally like messing around in other people's games, but I found a player who bb glitched and didn't look like they really needed my help. After killing havel, the host ran back and waited for a summon for a while. That's when I got bored and thought to mess around with running down there.

A fog gate prevents you from opening the shortcut by the female undead merchant, but you can open the shortcut to the lower undead burg for the host. The fog gate will still be up, but the door will open.

That's when I wondered if we could've fought the capra if the host followed me.

If anyone wants to test it with me, I have level 1, 55, 76, and 100-something characters on PS3. You'd have to be the host though.

Into the capra room? This means you had the capra demon already defeated, but the taurus undefeated? Because there should be no normal way into the capra demon room for a summon/ invader, unless maybe you kept the Taurus alive- had someone invade there- then ran down into the already-defeated capra room?

you may be stronger than any other mortal. you may be able to challenge the gods. but gravity is still a harsh and cruel mistress.

Dan, I mean it should do a static amount of damage that kills low levels and allows higher levels to survive it.. To show increasing power and character progression.

but thats what everything else does! gravity is still gravity regardless. frankly I think it should have been scaled with equip weight but meh.

Yeah, you can survive the fall with almost any character, particularly if you take off your heavy gear first. To me this is another one of those "how unintended is this really" things, given the very conspicuous balcony most folks use, and the survivable fall.

It is scaled with equip weight too.

You can fight the capra demon.

But... why would you want to?

I guess if you were playing with a friend, that's a valid reason. Otherwise, in my experience co-oping capra, the hosts who really need you usually die before you're even through the fog gate! Would suck to get by the shortcut, only for the host to die before you're even in the fight... And if they can survive long enough for you to get in, they probably don't need you in the first place!
