War of the Roses Empty War of the Roses

Anyone hear about this game? I saw a trailer when E3 was going on, but forgot the name of it. I really wish i had a decent PC cause this game looks great. Ive played a bit of Mount & Blade(not multiplayer) and this looks like a more polished version of that. Heres a couple trailers:

Anyone else agree the second trailer has some of the best music for a trailer youve seen in a long time?

The Yogscast and TB did some coverage of it, I think. 'Twas pretty funny. But yeah, it does look pretty awesome.

Realistic Medieval combat game? :face: It looks awesome, and I hear the gameplay works well from a realism standpoint too. The actual War of the Roses was probably the height of Medieval combat too, it's a great setting.

Edit: Aside from the 100 years war I mean, I was a bit too hasty to post

Whilst considering this is about as historically accurate as COD and assassin's creed), looks pretty fun, though again if they wanted realistic combat in any game with swords you'd be picking one up every couple of slashes...

The 64 player multiplayer looks interesting, but sadly the combat seem's kinda scrappy. Even though it's a hark back to bloodthirsty britain, it doesn't seem too awe-inspiring.

Actually i thought the same thing about the combat when i saw Mount & Blade for the first time. I quickly changed my mind once i actually got into it. This looks like an even more fine tuned version of that, mixed with some new ideas. It works well since theres so many enemies on the screen at once, but still does well for 1vs1.

I would LOVE to see a game of this scope with pretty much he exact same combat mechanics as dark souls. No magic or anything, just pure realistic medevil battles. My mouth is watering thinking about what an epic game that could be.
