Two nights in Burg Empty Two nights in Burg

Post by Saxonberserker Mon Jul 09, 2012 5:40 am

After a bit of break from the game and then a mess about with some new builds, I decidid to go back to my first toon and take him up to level 120 in NG+. I got him to 82 and then ended up in burg on saturday night with the taurus deamon still alive. And I had a great time PVPing plenty of US, japanese players and fellow Euro players. And it was great fun all bowed no chain BSing no spaming no ganking no esk drinking, just fights to death. Also there was a great variety of builds and play styles. And then sunday........ it all went a bit sh1t no bowing tuanting all giants + mask with elemental or poison buffs and ninja flip the same players on rotate. in the end i switched of and went to bed. Very surprised by the differance between the two nights of PVP.

My stats are paladin body +5 sunlight head arms legs all +8 with divine clay + 10 sunlight shield +10 rFaP and cloranthy rings, sunlight spear force and heal

There's a lot of variety in the Burg now. It's the place where people who just BB glitch PvP characters every day like to hang out. If you're PvPing with them it's usually just Giants/MoM etc etc etc.

    It's funny with the Burg. This is how I figured it's rise to PvP popularity went;

    -Low level griefers invading noobs
-Darkmoons trying to invade BB glitchers and griefers
-Higher level players hanging out to troll the griefers/Darkmoons
-Higher level players invading to invade those who are trolling the griefers and Darkmoons
-BB glitchers who can't be bothered to go further into the game
    -Everyone else followed lol.

But yeah, some nights it's just full of idiots. There are some really good players out there who frequent the burg a lot now though, to show Housewives how's it done silly When yo get the nights when you meet them, it's really good fun

I sense hate for the BB glitch from you, ill have you know that glitch is a god send for 120 PvP.

@OP its kind of hit or miss, when you combine the variety in the communtiy and the way the game matches you you can easily get stuck with a bunch of ****. Next time you get stuck with a bunch of asshat players quit out and reload, the game will then match you up with other players again and you may get new folks.

I didnt realize the number of BB glitchers until started I NG and looked at the summon signs and see what players are using at SL 14.

    Burg is really fun now.

I can see the value in the BB but they should have left it that you cant get BB intill the depths. Its no fun summoning helpers on a new play through as they are totally over powered one or two hitting the Bell Gargs. I got invaded a few times on a level 14 warrior and couldnt even scratch the phantom with 5 or 6 hits to none and then 1 or 2 hits to kill me.

I love the BB glitch. I've said before several times that I use it. BUT, a lot of the people that do you use, just do so to hang around the Burg at 120 with their ZweiMcGiantFlipper (lol love it) builds because that way they don't have to have to go through the game for spells/miracles etc

See this isnt a problem with the BB, I could make the same build you fought without BB'n. The problem is the imbalance of gear vs character strength, and more specifically how elemental weapons do full damage regardless of the character wielding them.

I know upgrading armour and weapons in DKS has pretty much the same effect as upgrading stats even more so with Elemental upgrades. Then when a player BBs there hitting like a 120 and the same with there defence, which would be fine if didnt make reasonable co-op/invasion in the early game so distorted.

I was in the burg also on Saturday and Sunday... After taking a 3 month + vacation from the game I found my PVP had suffered greatly. (Not that I was good to begin with) So I went to the burg expecting some all out fights and though I had a few; what I found surprised me a little. I didn't know all the dragon glitches were back. I found out by getting blasted in the face by a 1000 bombs in 30 sec.

Also there is even more BS fishing going on than before... In one match we didn't swing a single time for almost 3 min cause all he kept doing was trying to get around to my back and yes he had a Zwei. There were also some good fights like you said, for the most part there weren't too much chain B/S... one guy who actually did a chain messaged me and applogized, so we met again and fought to the death ending in a double KO.

I was on Sunday till 12am because earlier I just kept getting ganked by the same clowns who kept summoning me. In all I only had one guy not bow but he whooped me fair and square and bowed at the end.

Trust me, Burg is one of the very best places to do good PvP. I spend 90% of the time dueling there and there are much of good/nice players. I have also noticed that the time of day you PvP there has a big effect how many assholes you meet. Weirdly when the assholes appear they are all there at the same time and same for the so called "honourable" players. Meet me there and I promise to give you fair fight happy

Usually I agree, but I just got 3v1 ganked in the Burg by host and 2 white phantoms, all wearing full Havels (cept for MoM, of course), all using GSoA and all ninja flipping.

I'm getting Dragon's Dogma tomorrow and taking a much needed break from this game. If I have to look at the gormless expression on one of those damn family masks again, and just think of the utter retard thats wearing it or even see anything that resembles giants armour, I'm gonna end up in an asylum.

Have fun with Dragon's Dogma! The game has flaws, but there is also lot to love. The game gets better as you go on and the best parts will come in the very end happy 8/10 game.

Was it perhaps you he was talking about? happy
