They're being very modest, Sony will literally BEG them to release another, since next one will get proper commercial breakthrough.

Both souls games have been released to crazy amounts of acclaim so they might be here to stay lol

I'd be surprised if this didn't become a new series, if not a new genre called DALRPG, for die-a-lot-rpg.

Miyazaki is being too modest for his own good. The bugs weren't catastrophically bad, and most were patched up in 1.05. I'm sure fans will be more unforgiving if they stopped the whole series just because of some technical issues in the past.

Now, if you want to talk about major catastrophic technical issues ask those PS3 customers who bought Skyrim. I heard that was quite a horror story. If anyone, Bethesda should stop making Elder Scroll games after the PS3 fiasco with Skyrim.

Honestly the only problem I noticed in Dark Souls was the framerate in Blighttown and Demon ruins, and of course, lag. And that's not a technical issue, but a technical decision to use P2P instead of having a server.

You see what too make complaining can do? You all apologize to Mr. Miyazaki right now!

But seriously, at the end of the day this game is excellent. The fact that it was first delivered to be a niche market game only to sell 1.5 million copies with the sequel says it all. My tip is there will be a sequel but NO dlc for dark souls.

The only problem I have with DkS is the Gravelord BP mechanic, and how putting down the dragon sign does not really look for players with scales or if it does its not working very well kind of like the gravelord.

I have seen the dragon sign appear and disappear really fast, way faster than the other signs.

justwant2play is right.. he is being too modest. but hopefully its just a way of being polite. I am sure they will release another. They probably want to keep it quiet that way they are not pressured into releasing it too early. I mean how many armored core games have they released?

How not to make a sequel of a game that has been vanishing any other game on my library for more than 4 months? And I am still enjoying it so much!!!
There are other games that are released as the best of the best and have even worst bugs and glitches that ruin any fun they could offer.
I do want to play more demon's / dark souls games!!!

I like that he has enough respect for his customers that he shows some humility for the minor shortcomings, but honestly, what game comes out without a few technical issues anymore? Skyrim will probably get GOTY, and it's got all sorts of bugs. Bottom line is, DkS is one of the most original franchises of the last decade, and it's gettting all sorts of sales, so I'm sure we'll see more down the road.

Don't forget the horror story known as Fallout New Vegas, oh wait the expansions for Fallout 3 were horrible too(frame rate lag, absolutely awful.)
