Does anyone know where I can find translations of the weapons, armors, etc that are used in the game? I know I could try to do this manually (type Claymore into Google Translate and see what comes up), but I'm worried about inaccuracies.

Also, there are inaccuracies in the original game that I'd like to keep. Like the German version's Man-Serpent Greatsword translating to Snakesword.

    Thanks.

I heard the Sniper Crossbow is simply "crossbow" in the german version.

You could look at the wiki in other languages. They are formatted the same way, and the pictures are still there, so you can see what you're looking at.

The japanese version is formatted diffrently, so expect to get lost. Also some pages in the other languages aren't complete yet.

Another way would be to get a dictionary for translations, but I don't think you'll find most of the words you are looking for.

Pictures and stats would be the best way, although following the forums would be confusing.

If you don't know what someone means, just ask; cross referencing everything would be pretty tedious (and acronyms would be really hard!).

Imagine seeing MLGS, looking up to what it refers to, and looking up what that is in your language of the game... and doing that for every reference. Sheesh. Yeah, just ask.

So, what is the issue? You're translating on the Wiki or forums or both?

Maybe make a cheatsheet for yourself

I'm putting together a database of all the weapons, armor, shields, ammo, spell casting devices, spells, and rings. I'm done with the English one.

I'd like to get the database in as many languages as possible, so that's what I'm doing now. Hope that clears things up.

Also, apparently the Great Lord Greatsword is translated as "Gran Espada del Gran Senor." Roflcopter.

    lol awesome.

Are you using Access 97? It's the only database that counts. That and foxpro.

I just remembered an online dictionary my spanish teacher suggested. http://www.wordreference.com/

It's very accurate, but I don't know how many Dark Souls words it has. I think it's worth a shot.
