Oh ****, I'm getting bored of DkS.

What to do? I feel like I made all the builds I had in mind. The ones in progress I don't feel like finishing them, because I predict how they will work in the field, and seems boring to me. I don't feel like playing my other games either.

Just back off for a short one.

This happens to be from time to time. My interest is peaked when I think of a new build or I start theorizing about a new pendant possibility, lol.

Start playing some easy match arena game for a while, when i back off from DKS i start playing Dota 2, or another RPG game... i still have to finish red dead redemption and mass effect 3 :shock: (on my last semester on college Yeeey!)

It's funny; I only have this problem when I'm forcing myself to play a new build just to see how different it is but my main characters, who are all Sorcerers, I have never gotten bored while playing.

A short break should be good (especially since the PC version will be coming out next month!).

I've been there too, so I went off and played Skyrim for a bit. Now I've gone back to Dark Souls and I'm enjoying it again.

Do you guys know of other games similar to DkS for PS3????

Create a new character, No glitch, make something you never did before, like deprived or hunter, and do a low level playthrough. Seriously, its never boring because, no matter if you already finished the game a thousand times, still you struggle to pass blighttown (no master key) and you still rage about killing Orstein and Smough solo. Thats the magic of the game

On most of my characters I used the glitch, but on some I have started fresh and it's fun but I got bored of PvE too. I want new things...

just take a break wyen, i took a month break and it didnt help much but the cosplay co op has been so much fun. remember its hard to play a game everyday without getting bored.

Play Demon's! I do get tired of going through the worst this game has to offer (not difficulty-wise, but design-wise), like Izalith, ToG and the Archives.

Dragon's Dogma looked amazing, but I dislike party-based "action" RPGs (like Dragon Age). I think DkS is perfect because you can't button mash, you have to plan your attacks well and use your shield. I want a similar type of game.

Already played it, same feeling I have with DkS.

if you have a psp you have to try monster hunter, only game ive enjoyed more than demon's souls.

Is the game really good? Like jaw dropping monsters, careful leveling and weapon choices, strategic battles?

I heard Dragon's Dogma is okay for consideration.. just don't overlevel yourself.

Kingdom of Amalur, please don't consider.. it's too easy for our standard. But it does have good animation and cool combat movement.

lol man go play something totally different then, so you will start to miss DkS again. Go play Call of Duty online or something

everything you mentioned and more, only co op though but fun as hell and if you think demono's or dark souls is hard you havent seen anything yet.

Dragon's dogma is an awesome game just with some little pawns AI flawas, but nothing terrible.

Kingdons of Amalur is one of the worst rpg i ever played, is waaaaaaaaaay too repetitive the quests are boring and the history isnt enough to keep you going, but i must confess that the graphics are awesome

Carp - it gets boring after you have done it legit speedrunning over 50 times to cut your 1:52:35 to 1:30:19. xD

If you have a PC (or for those who have Xbox), the Witcher 2: EE is a really good sub if you want a break from DkS. The combat is challenging and fun, and there are parry/ripostes, backstabs, blocking etc etc just like in DkS. Having a Level cap of 35 means that you also have to be REALLY careful when levelling up your character since you can't even acquire 1/3 of the talents in the game. I just gimped my last one and had to start again

This probably doesn't help you much Wyrm (sorry!), but for those on Xbox/PC trying to fill the void DkS leaves when you need a break from it, ploughing go for it!

here are some example of monster hunter beasties, and the weapon choice does matter, for example hammers can shatter a monsters carapace to lower defense or cause concussions stunning the beast while swords can sever parts like tails and are generally faster, the weapon types are as follows:

Sword and shield (fast and light)

longsword (katana, medium speed high power with a buff if you fill a gauge via combos, no block),

greatswords (huge crushing power but slow, can block very well),

hammers (very high attack, slow, has a charged attack that can be charged while moving, can cause stun by hitting monsters on the head)

hunting horn (decent attack (close to hammers) with a special music system that applies buffs and can even heal, also can cause stun via head hits, slows you down if you don't use the basic speed boost buff)

Lances (best blocking ability, good range if linear hit box dodge roll replaced by a backstep thats chainable, has a charging attack (like the pikes) that does good damage to monsters you've knocked over)

gunlances(same except the chargeing attack is replaced by the wyverns fire skill thats basically a super cannon shot, also the o button does a shelling technique instead of an upward stab.)

Dual blades (fast, no block, good damage consdiering attack speed, can have two elements on them, also theres a "demonize" ability which seems to increase attack/speed (haven't used these much))

then you've got bow guns and bows, the differences are that bows have a melee attack, fire in arcs and can coat arrows in various things while bow guns aim similar to a dks bow, can sometimes rapid fire and have a wide range of shot types. (im not much of a gunner so i probably missed something.)

actually, give dogma, a go. A big part of why i like the game is because the pawn system becuase its similar to dark souls phantom summoning. Give it a rent at least.
