PvP just got more broken...

I was summoned as a white phantom in the burg yesterday (SL10). The guy was ganking with a red phantom, you know the usual 'Hey I invaded you, I'll drop cool stuff for you if you summon phantoms for me to kill because I'm too crap to PvP properly'.

The red was spawn-camping and used the dragon head glitch with the dragon torso stone......there was NOTHING I could do. Complete Staggersville. He had the crest shield, so infinite stamina for teh win! The second time it happened I quit to Xbox home before he pushed me off the map. I then went to bed, with what little faith I had left in the DkS community in tatters.

This might have happened to some of you before, but it's the first time it's happened to me. Sure, I've been glitched with firebombs/knifes etc but never the torso stone. Just why!?

I can understand why that would piss you off. That area must be bad when it comes to that. The reason it was a red and a host was because to do the glitch he needs to lock onto an enemy, so he used the host to start the glitch before you arrived. I really cant think of a good way to avoid that. The glitch in general(in 1vs1 or even 2/3vs1) isnt that horrible, they turn their back before they do it(so take that opening). Just watch out for dragons and people with a pyro glove in offhand who turn their back to you. I was thinking, this is probably nothing to the xbox community since you guys have the modders.

I knew he was going to do something because he was in the dragon form. The host was standing on the entrance to the bridge with the red opposite near the stairs, so there was no escape. I rolled as soon as I could to the area where the archer stands, but he caught me and then I was just helpless. Grrr.

This is horrible for newish players who have gone through to Solaire to get the soapstone to lay in the burg. To be summoned into that when you're new to the game? That would really put me off. I don't mind the modders so much. They usually suck, so where possible just chainstab them off a cliff etc, or if you cant just backstab them then quit to home, but this was something else. Do you lucky ducks on PSN not have them?

Sometimes if I invade in the Burg, and the host is friendly, I'll duel summoned phantoms. It is fun in my books, and just a different way to get some PvP matches. Sparring in between just helps you get more Player on Player action, which is always a good thing. However, when facing a glitcher, you need to ask yourself: did you really lose a PvP match? At the higher levels of play, you'll already have maximum humanity, more souls than could possibly need, and you're just playing to have fun. The only thing in a match that you can lose is your pride, and you haven't even lost that as it wasn't even a real match! You need to think of being summoned to a glitcher's world as simply being waiting time between matches, not a match in itself. What if you just keep being brought to this glitcher's world? If you treat as wait time, then you know what you need to do if don't get any PvP action in an area for a while: move somewhere else. This is how I personally treat unfair matches when I am looking for duels; it brings a certain peace of mind if you follow it.
