    It would be such a shame for FS to never make another ----- Souls game. There are so many little things they could expand upon like they did from Demons to Dark. Heck even without any modifications to the platform or presentation! This is one of the few games I've played of the recent generation consoles that I completely move past the aggregate parts and find myself immersed in a fantastic world based upon the whole experience.
    Who cares if I get stabbed fifty or so times by b---es in Blighttown who play LagvP while I am screaming at those g.d. mosquitos?

    The last part, where they said they were not sure if their mistakes would be forgiven by the users, I'm somewhat sure it's part of japanese behavior / etiquette (feel free correct me on this).
    In my opinion, they've got the best RPGs out there (specially considering FF lost its way, and Skyrim is more about size than quality), and I'm glad to see they sold so many units. I do my share, and recommend it to anyone I know with a PS3.

    Not mentioning that it's the first time I've played a game that tells a good chuck of its lore and story by the items descriptions.

    Which is just genius imo. I have played so many friggin rpgs from Zork onward that having to listen to exposition and world building vomit from every NPC and sit through 20minute cut scenes just...rankles to say the least. In almost every other RPG I find myself quoting Wayne's World (gosh I'm getting on in years):
    "That guy was pretty well informed for a security guard don't ya think?"
    With Dark Souls I have found myself digging vainly and grasping at wild goose chases with the lore and there always seems to be more that will, very likely, never be answered. It's like growing up in the early 80's and being so full of unanswered questions about the Sar Wars universe when we only had the original trilogy to go on. In hindsight it was better not to know :-)

    I second that idea. I really want them to continue the series. Skyrim, Battlefield 3, Rage... Still unwrapped. So busy playing dark souls and now demon's souls.

    I think they wouldn't have technical problems if they didn't do Dark Souls on xbox. That console is slowing video games industry really hard, it's processing power is worth 20 pounds PC. If they did it only for ps3 like demons, maybe Dark Souls would be even bigger. Even PC's don't compare to 7 cores cell processor, well maybe latest i7 but that's the reason why PS3 is used for experiments that needs processing power.

    Yes, it's japanese tradition. And yes, there is going to be another Souls game. Dont know when, maybe next gen only, but they have a hardcore fan base and managed to sell 1.5 million copies in a few months.

    They're mainstream now, time to reap the rewards.

    I think the game really failed in the sense that they upgraded absolutely nothing. Demon and Dark Souls are exactly alike except for new items and characters. There is still a severe lack of storyline, online play has not changed at all(Would be nice to be able to summon friends directly), and as far as I know they removed events from the game, haven't seen those.

    I haven't noticed any frame rate issues except one time when I was climbing a ladder in the Painting Land.

    I have to agree with that statement.This game may be completely unforgiving to new players and piss you off alot, but its the games challenge to the player that makes it much more fun to play. On my first play through I died about 30+ times to the Capra demon however I just kept on playing. Most games these days are normally wired as "easy" games that can be completed relatively fast and easily making Darksouls a very unique and amazing game.

    Seriously.....I hereby disagree... Prostration Fail and dark souls should never be used in the same sentence, unless you say "i failed to live in dark souls"

    It wasn't a fail game, it just failed to enhance the success of its predecessor "Demon Soul's". It was still a good game though.

    Imo they made a few things better in dark, but also wish they woulda kept some things the same. If they make a 3rd, I'm hoping its a bada$$ cross between the two. I'm gonna cry if they don't make a 3rd.... :cry:

    That's so cocky yet so damn true. The engine just can't handle how awesome the world is. In other words he's sort of hinting that the techies can't keep up with their artists and designers. Awesome.

    I'd buy another game if they just kept everything and had more weapons and armors.

    Midgar you're a sinner. I didn't play demons but I've heard there was alot more stamina and there was actually mana. For me I'm glad there's so low stamina in Dark Souls. Makes people start thinking in battle. Besides you just said in another topic that you killed your first discharge at sl 100+. Based on that I don't think you're the one who has the right to judge Dark Souls :p

    On demons the whole melee thing is less realistic, you run like a god anywhere below 50%, rolls take no stamina, attacks dont either..

    The only problem with Demons souls was valley of defilement, and that giant depraved ones.

    The only problem with Dark Souls is that it has no place comparable to Tower of Latria. The bells ringing, the prisoners screaming, that arrow machine..
