Over the passed two days/nights I have been invaded by seven different dragon headstone glitchers, in Sen's, the Depths, the Parish, and just this morning lower Blighttown. I'm tired of dying to these cheating scumbags, and so this morning when ol dragonhead came waltzing into the arena towards the back of the lower Blighttown bonfire I chose my moment and simply run away. It wasn't the most dignified thing I have ever done, but this eventually lead me to victory after ol dragonhead took a fatal fall chasing after me. It was the most fun I have had in this game in ages! Not the win, but being part of an epic chase across rickety platforms and ledges, making leaps across gaps that I'd never dream of doing if my virtual life didn't depend on it, and all the while experiencing the dreaded feeling of impending doom every single time I took a quick look back over my shoulder to see how far behind my pursuer was. I eventually run into a brick wall, or rather a white fog one, and just as I was turning around to accept my fate the message that my foe had died moments beforehand flashed up, and the sense of elation and relief that I then felt knowing that I had survived against the odds was so overwhelming that I ended up having to take a break to make myself a cup of coffee.
I would prefer not to be invaded by a dragon headstone glitcher, but if every encounter turns out to be this epic, maybe it's not such a bad thing after all!
Don't get me wrong, I in no way condone the behaviour of dragon headstone glitchers, but am merely trying to reassure my fellow gamers that even in the darkest of times some joy may still be found, and so this may not turn out to be a game breaker after all.
