    noob dragon Empty noob dragon

    Post by sids09 Wed Feb 01, 2012 4:07 am

OK, so I was all like "wait, there's a covenant that lets me turn into a dragon? Freakin' awesome," and I went and promptly spent all day today farming up no less than 40 dragon scales from Valley of Drakes. Because, dude, DRAGONS. So I went and dropped them all at the alter and was like "Crunchesize me captain," and got myself all scaly and wonderful.

Turns out that not wearing armor makes things hurt more. Who knew?

Anyway I'm a noob dragon covenant player on PSN, working my way through the game at about sl 75ish right now, and ever since I dropped the sunbros, I haven't seen a single soul sign or been summoned, ever. I feel so alone. I wonder if I'm doing things wrong..... like, maybe someone goes to summon me and sees my silhouette and thinks "Oh, you're a flesheating monster, my mother and sister were raped and murdered by a dragon, you inconsiderate prick, hell no." Or something.

Am I not supposed to be flexing my sweet Fus Ro Dah muscles?
Am I supposed to drop my dragon eye in certain places, at certain levels?
Does the "Neutral evil" affiliation make it harder to co-op?
Is it just a case of "not easy being green?"

If anybody's got dragon covenant tips, I'm all ears. And scales, and I guess feathers, and tiny useless wings, and a *** tail, and whatnot. Alternatively my fallback plan is to drop back out, rejoin the sun society, and get summoned all over town as a yellow lizard. But who wants that.

Once you get the body there's really no point in staying in the covenant. You can still summon dragon people if your human and the only place I've ever gotten dragon duels is the kiln.

You farmed 40 dragon scales from the wyverns? Holy mother of God. How long did that take? I thought the drop rate was around 1%.

In the future, dueling for dragon scales is probably quicker and certainly more fun. Just lay down your dragon sign and wait for someone to take you up on your offer.

You'd be surprised. If you put on a covetous gold serpent ring and blow some saved humanity to max out your discovery rate, it happens pretty quick. I was landing about a scale every run -- sometimes three at a time, sometimes none, but once you figured out how to basically one-shot each wyvern it went pretty quick.

Mind you, I'm on painkillers for a knee surgery, so my tolerance for menial ******** is a little higher than average right now. But yeah, I was hoping to duel people, just no one would ever take me up on it. Farming the valley for two hours is more fun than sitting outside Gate of Artorias for half an hour twiddling my thumbs.

But see, there's the real question. I haven't progressed all the way through the game yet... where can I pop this sign so that someone might actually pick it up?

    Here is some valuable info.

as far as the sign goes and PvP you might just have to post here.

I am havin fun with my dragon even if I get killed a lot. I just use cracked orbs or do co op in dragon form. Its funny coz when they see your sign they see you as a deprived and but when you come up you are a full dragon. I made mine as big and tall as the presets allow you but I want to experiment with the editor to see if I can make him even bigger. Maybe i make woman and I get more summons LOL

My toon is a smokin' redhead. I didn't realize the co-op sign didn't show up dragonized, though -- I've been trying to get people to summon Red Ginger Wrinkletits this whole time!

Maybe I'll try it again in human form, see if that gives me better luck.

you always show up human in your summon sign, big grin I would suggest some godawful heavy weapon for show, then you go bare handed once your summoned.
