You should probably set up a set of rules for the type of zombies there are, because everyone has different views of this sort of stuff.

Generic shamblers, bite you to transfer, non airborn, wlaking speed. Hunt by sound.

My friends and I have one. We have a building picked out to meet up at and everything.

Type 1 and 2.

I've a hardware store filled to the brim with make shift melee weapons. As well, the police station is right across the street so if I need guns and ammo then that's where I'll get them.

lol. 2 of my friends are gun enthusiats so they have personal collections. There is also a gun shop nearby (driving distance). We plan to hole up in a 6 story high building near a shopping mall, hopefully rigging up some kind of travelling device between the roofs.

Viral I live on THE SIDE OF A MOUNTAIN!!! Seriously, my house is on the very top of Lake Avenue. The elevation is 1400 feet above sea level.

I live in the mountains. Grab my compound bow and my backpack full of canned food and follow the river up to the ski resort. Hole up there if possible, taking advantage of the weather to preserve the food already there and hamper the zombies, glacier run off for water, and local elk and farms to establish a sustainable food source, the high visibility to have advanced warning of incoming zombies.

Me on the other hand. I have no skills save a stash of pretty antique looking tools, pick axe, regualr axe, a long pole arm.

and a sweet looking leather duster.

Forum I'm sure the cold weather would stop them good enough. No need to waste arrows on zombi-cicles.

I also have a gun shop.

However my plan is to meet up with two other fellows of ill repute that I know and head to one of the six zombie shelters we have in the city. Then we go scavenging.

The bow is for emergencies and hunting, It always pays to be prepared. I can fish the river and have a machete for close combat, as well as being a long time jujitsu practicioner and having 2 daggers and numerous knives for gutting, deboning, and skinning thing. As well, the resort has tools and supplies I could salvage if they remained, otherwise there's a town about 50 miles down that I could try to scavange if pressed.

A simple rule: whiskey, beef jerky, limes for food. A spade, a telescope, and leather and Jean clothes with shades and a hood. Travel for miles upon miles.

When found, a shotgun with shells from a police officer's car will ne taken, as well as a radio and a handgun with magazine. Go on ahead and travel. Try to avoid others and to make life fun as he'll. From lending a hand to drawing zombies to another's soon to be grave. Shoot some signs... Might get a tray of disks for decorative markers and target practice. No need for a map or compass, as I search for no set destination.

Wander the world, and smash some dead with spades. When hoards come, run enough to find water towers, trees, or other climbing obstacles and use it to drink, eat, and use the situation to increase the death rate before I am included or escape.

In a world of the dead, one would do the world a favour by amplifying that aspect.

The resort also has several underground rooms that would better trap heat in extreme weather, and the resort store has a ton of winter gear to replace mine if it wears out.

well damn, compared to forums mine just feels inadequate. meeting up with 8 people in a pre arranged location with as much as we can scavange and gearing up a badass bus just seems.... low key.

My plan? Shoot myself in the head. Seriously, I fail almost every survival test there is on the internet, and would rather it be over quickly than suffer the torture of being eaten to death, or worse; experiencing the slow transition into mindlessness, knowing that I'm only a few days at best from turning on my fellow survivor crew.

My room mate and I spent some time on it.We're huge nerds, and a bit jumpy. We each sleep with a knife under our respective pillows.

It will probably never matter, but I'll be glad to have it if it becomes necessary. We have a few friends with the same plan as us, but no plans to meet up until we're actually at the resort, can't risk trying to get to a meeting point, especially as they could well be dead and not coming, or coming as zombies. Assuming we meet at the resort, each person has a predetermined set of responsibilities based on their skills. They overlap to ensure its covered if someone doesn't make it.

The roles are hunter (like elk), scout (patrol and spot approaching zombies or people and report it/dispatch dangerous individuals if necessary) , gatherer (fishing, fire wood ext), enforcer (guard food, enforce any rules, soldier), negotiater (settle disputers within group, represent us in dealing with other groups), farmer (grow food) and general (cook, clean, watch any kids if necessary).

I'm scout/gatherer/hunter, in that order.

&yeah, if I'm bitten or trapped, suicide.

I own a boat (it's not actually mine it's my cousin but whatevs) so I'd take some start-up supplies and head off to an unpopulated island.

Wait out the zombie apocalypse and work on my tan.

Ever heard of Bass Pro Shop? Ever heard of Costco?

Well, my friends and I decided: get in the biggest vehicles we can, pickups preferred, head over to Bass Pro Shop asap, get all the munitions and anything else they have that might be useful, then drive on over to Costco, shut all the doors, and wait it out. Enough food in there to last us a pretttty long time.

Realistic plan: Stock my basement with tools, food, clothing, weapons, and fuel, and cower there until the nukes are launched. Gradually expand downward, and turn into Gollum. It's a good cellar too, so if I barricaded the trap door it's unlikely that a zed could enter.
