think you talk to him at the bonfire after centipede demon and then back up use daughter of chaos shortcut kill all 9 of the chaos bugs then his sign should be there for Gwyn.

Or you can do what I do: Don't talk to him in Anor londo, don't summon him in ANor Londo, go threw Demon ruins and Lost Izalith, and open the door and kill red eyed maggot. After that, talk to solaire at Anor Londo, meet him at bonfire after centipede (or before that at Sunlight Alter if you like), meet him at door area (may take a while to see him, as he does not show RIGHT after you talk to him at bonfire after centipede), and BAM! He will be at Kiln.

The shortcut to Izalith is also the spot where I can farm Demon titanite from the Headless Demon, right? IS there anything special needed to have the headless demon respawn?

The only thing you need to do is kill the bug that drops the sunlight maggot before you fight the Demon Firesage.
